Family-friendly holiday rentals in Manitoba

Chris was an incredibly gracious host. We connected after our family had a really rough time with another host. He went out of his way to ensure our family of 6 felt comfortable and welcome. I deal with a consistent amount of intensity in my career, and Chris' place gave us the escape and serenity that our family needed. He was always responsive and available when we had questions, yet very professional and kind. I would highly recommend this vacation home due to equal parts the accommodations themselves, but also the level of service that Chris adds to it all. I would absolutely stay again! Thank you Chris for having us in your lovely home!

We just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Storm Bay cottage. Mark and Faye are great hosts. Mark gave us easy driving instructions, met us on arrival and took the time to show us around. He was also easy to reach when we had a question. Everything about the place was great - the location (close to Kenora for supplies but also private), the house, the boathouse (it's spectacular!), the view, the fishing and especially the sunsets. It's so peaceful and quiet and the fishing was great. We came with a couple of boats but we even caught fish from the dock. When on shore we lacked for absolutely nothing. The kitchen was the best equipped we've ever seen. We didn't use the hot tub or the sauna but I enjoyed having the piano. We were a small group of 4 but there is plenty of room for a very large group on shore and on 2 nearby islands, King and Sunset. We've been coming to LOTW for 40 years and THIS WAS OUR BEST STAY. We can't wait to come back to our favorite place on our favorite lake.

We had such a lovely stay at Bob’s cabin in Victoria Beach. It was cozy, homey, and full of thoughtful touches that made our weekend out of the city extra comfortable. The three main reasons we booked this spot were that it was dog-friendly (so we didn’t have to arrange a sitter!), it had a hot tub, and it looked like a peaceful place to relax—and it delivered on all counts and more. The cabin had everything we needed and then some: dog leashes at both entrances, Lego to keep our one-year-old entertained, and a beautiful screened-in porch that became our go-to spot to hang out. The outdoor shower was a great bonus, and we especially loved being just a short walk from the beach with its soft, powdery sand. Even the little touches—like flowers on the deck—made it feel extra welcoming. Everything matched the listing exactly, and Bob was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We’ll definitely be back!

I stayed for a stretch after having surgery and the house offered everything I needed. I, as well as my mother, were very at ease while staying here. The neighbourhood feels very safe and the yard is nice and private. The house is exactly as advertised, nice and cozy, but has everything you need for your stay. They were prompt to answer any time I messaged them and never left me hanging. I will definitely be booking back with them.

Whether you're looking to relax in nature or enjoy a bit of fishing, this spot has it all. The lake access is ideal, and the quiet, scenic environment made for such a rejuvenating stay. What made the experience even more special was how thoughtful and accommodating Tracy was throughout. From being flexible with our group to offering to meet us at the highway turnoff after dark — her kindness and attention to detail were so appreciated. She made sure everything was smooth and welcoming from the start. Highly recommend Edge Water Escape for anyone looking for a clean, serene, and well-hosted getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

I had an amazing stay at the Cottage for my 40th birthday. The cottage is a perfect retreat, nestled in nature, offering peace and tranquility. It was incredibly well-equipped with everything I needed, from a cozy indoor fireplace to an outdoor shower that added a touch of adventure. The surrounding area is beautiful, and I enjoyed taking in the stunning sun and moon -rises and walks along the beach. The hosts were thoughtful and provided detailed instructions, making the stay seamless. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and the little details, like a hammock by the lake, really made my experience special. I felt completely relaxed and at home during my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, and I hope to return again soon!

Nice spot right on the water, would be great any season but we had a blast staying there during our snowmobile trip. Could skidoo right onto the river to meet up with the main trails. House is very spacious with lots of games and DVDs but you won’t want to be inside too much with such a lovely property. Hosts were helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

Tony’s place was better than expected. The charming home is on a lovely quiet and safe street. The instructions throughout the home were helpful and also hilarious. Tony was easy to reach and helpful with providing advice for the area. Thanks for a great weekend! We would stay here again for sure.

I am a regular user of this house, and each year Rebecca manages to present the accommodation in a very fresh light. The welcome feel is reflected by Rebecca's genuine interest in the welfare and comfort of her guests , and her friendly personality shines through I will be back.

We had a fabulous Easter long weekend at Tummel House. Her place is very close to the Duck Mountains and to Lake of the Prairies. Her house is the perfect home base for a great country side getaway with access to nature right next door. We also loved that we could watch movies on a VHS and explain the technology to our 8 year old daughter. We felt right at home and were refreshed by our visit. And, we were happy that the Easter Bunny was able to find us.

It is a very nice cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. Mike is a super host, making sure we have everything we need. We have stayed here for a week the last 3 years, and we will be back next year.

Phil was a great host! Everything was as stated in the ad and the condo was very clean when we arrived. Phil was also very helpful and was ready for any questions I had. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower/bath combo was amazing! The tv had many channels and the Internet was very fast. Overall, if this condo is still avaliable if I want to visit winnipeg again, I would definitely stay in it.

This was such an amazing stay. It was a large space and you have access to all hotel amenities. Very close to everything and allows you to be able to walk to restaurants and shops! This place is a slayyy!

Awesome location, big dock, and beach...a few steps from the cabin to the water (you can hear the waves from the bedroom window). I have rented a lot of cabins in the past...Art's cabin has the best water frontage I have ever seen! The fishing is incredible, we were there 9 days and fished a different spot every time. My son and I caught well over 120 fish over the 9 days, including several large Walleys that we cooked up! Lot's of small mouth bass, and of course endless northern pikes! My truck broke down, and wouldn't be fixed until a couple of days after we were to check out. I told Art about this issue and he made some arrangement's so we could stay a couple of extra days until my truck was fixed. He went out of his way to make things work...it could have been a disaster, but instead we got a couple more day's of fishing in! If you like being on the water and love fishing, this is the place for you! I will definitely be coming back! Thank you Art for your great hospitality!

David’s place was very comfortable and located in a lovely corner of Winnipeg. He went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and the communication was seamless! I would highly recommend it!
