Paradise on the Rainbow River

SonyaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The home is exactly as described in the listing: home was clean and came with all the boats and tubes for a fun time on the river! Lots of life jackets and goggles to use if you dont have your own. publix and walmart are a short drive in town about 10 min. The home is at the end of a small deadend couldesac with a rental on 1 side and an abandoned house on the other, beautiful nature drive, seems to be in a safe area, it was private. Plenty of space and beds, the home was clean (and we are picky) and everything was up to date not run down or worn out. Nearby fast food and "Swampys" on the water if thats what you like, but If you want quality food, drive about 30 minutes west to Inverness/Yankeetown and try Blackwater Grill, absolutely best food for you money. Being Florida natives, we didnt jump off the dock, too much grass and know what hides in the grass..we saw a huge snapping turtle in it with baby turtles near the dock. overall it was a great stay and we would come back! Thanks

Getaway on the Waterway: Kayak, SUP, fish, relax!

MasonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Absolutely amazing ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ we stayed for 2 nights as we made our journey driving up to Montreal. My family did not want to leave 🤣 Amazing location and activities! Not only that but Laura’s communication was amazing (way before we arrived, during and after). She has so many little things that most Airbnbs don’t bother with or don’t think of, like beach towels, extras in the bathroom for convenience, batteries and honestly the list goes on and on! I thought this trip was super personalised and was a perfect get away for a family or couple. The neighbour was super friendly as well! Thank you Laura 😊

Lakefront Home in Silver Springs, FL

ViktoriaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Absolutely incredible stay! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and peaceful this place is. The location is perfect — quiet, picturesque, and close to everything we needed. The house itself is absolutely stunning: beautifully decorated, cozy, and spotless. Every detail was clearly thought out with care and love. We especially want to thank our amazing hosts — so kind, warm, and welcoming. They made us feel completely at home and were always available if we needed anything. Their hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back! This place is a hidden gem, and we feel so lucky to have found it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. Thank you for everything! ❤️

Comp Days w/ Rental Nov 1 - May 1 / Pets OK

KateRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a great stay at Chimera. We brought our own tubes and floated from their other property upriver and back to this property saving us $120. The float took about an hour and a half. Parking at their other location was well marked. The walk from this rental back to the other location to pick up our vehicle took about 40 minutes. The walk was through a neighborhood slightly uphill without side walks. It’s not a bad walk for adults or teenagers. Using the kayaks was great. The river water by the private dock directly on the river at Chimera has two sandy river bottom patches we stood in and swam around. The current river depth was about five feet by the dock. We saw Fred the bird, fish, small turtles, a young bobcat, and four otters swimming/feeding by the dock almost every day. We did not see any alligators during this stay but have along the river during previous trips which have avoided humans. Chimera is in a great river location. Hal and Sandy are friendly and take ownership pride

Modern Micanopy Lakeside

StevenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great time staying in Gloria's place. The house itself is attracive, well maintained, and clean. The views are spectacular. The town of Micanopy has fun little downtown that is an easy walk. Paine's Prairie Preserve is nearby, along with other 'Real FLorida" attractions.

JoMo Retreat on the Withlacoochee River!

KayleeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Withlacoochee river is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! The house had a lot of fun things to do, as well. The wii, darts, & board games kept us entertained while it rained. When I booked it, I took Laurie I was surprising my bf for his birthday & she put some happy birthday signs out for us. Very sweet. The only thing I wish I knew was how close to the Highway it is. If you’re a light sleeper, definitely bring earplugs or something. The constant trucks passing by kept us awake most of the night. Overall though, we really enjoyed ourselves!

Adorable Cottage Next To Rainbow River & Blue Run!

JonathanRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our friends booked a cabin to go tubing on Rainbow River. They were sold out when we decided to go, so we booked this spot. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at check-in to find it’s much nicer than a cabin. Very clean and recently redone with granite countertops throughout. My wife, my 9 year old daughter and I easily shared the one bedroom and bath with the pullout couch in the living area. Any necessary cookware and spices were there and a full size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker. The cleanup and checkout instructions were easily manageable for the price. It’s very close to the Blue Run ending of the 4 hour float or one way kayak drift from the Mariam County Park up river. It’s also very close to Swampy’s, a very popular riverfront restaurant. With the cottages 2 kayaks, you can go upriver and drift back to Swampy’s and Blue Run if you can drive and launch them yourself about 3 minutes away. I recommend planning all of your activities before you arrive.

Our cozy cottage on Lake Weir with a private beach

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Karla's place is very nice. Very clean, the screened in porch was so nice and there are sliding glass doors where you can see the beauty outside. The lake, dock and everything outside were so beautiful. The thing I loved the most is it is so quiet there. We live on a noisy road so this was heaven. We met Karla as we were leaving, and she is so nice. Directions to the cottage were perfect, check in was easy. Very nice place when you have a dog as we were traveling with our Yorkie. You will love Karla's place!

Cozy cabin on 10 acre farm

LexiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
SUCH an amazing place to stay. Amazing breakfast with all homemade foods and things grown in their garden, viktoria was so kind and helpful. She made us feel so welcome and she had great recommendations as to how to spend our time! Very easy check in/check out, very peaceful and comfortable. And although it’s a guest house right next to their main home, it felt very private! Would 100% recommend!!! Was such a lovely trip for me and my boyfriend we are even hoping to come back eventually to stay with them again :) Also all the animals were so fun to watch and play with!

A-Frame with Rainbow River access via Com. Park

LindaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Leslie was very responsive. The setting is private and the covered deck on rainy days wonderful to relax on. Leslie provided much appreciated extras like healthier cooking pans, sharp knives, a cutting board, and a medicine kit which are not usually provided in my years of experience. A word of caution apparently regarding airbnb policy. Check for potential price changes on your reservation Even IF you are subtracting something!!! Because I didn’t end up taking my dog with (deleting the pet fee), it changed my reservation and a $142.20 increase (county tax fee) was added! 😱

Our family had a great stay at Lisa’s cabin! The cabin was peaceful, clean and had everything we needed plus more for our stay. We were able to enjoy fishing off the dock, s'mores by the fire and our favorite part.. canoeing around the lake. Thank you Lisa for a great little getaway. We will definitely be back again soon!!

The Nature House

SeanRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Very nice home, located within 20 minutes to the springs, hiking, and restaurants. We loved the seclusion, the home’s architecture, and the detached BBQ screened-in shelter. The large backyard is great for the activities they provide (cornhole, mini soccer, and tree swinging). We were there in the summer but the water level in the back was too shallow to launch the canoes but that’s no problem with tons of local kayaking options. The house is on a 12-minute drive dirt road that can be difficult to find at night. Also, the house does not have any cell reception but the house has ok WiFi speeds to stream movies and use FaceTime (voice); that’s the price to be in seclusion, peace, and nature. Check in and out were a breeze and the indoor amenities are nice. We recommend this home for a nice getaway.

Juanita’s Cabin

SusanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were having a family reunion in Hog Valley and Juanita's cabin was perfect for us. There's a lock box at the front door with the keys so it was easy to get inside. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We weren't there much and when we were we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Juanita's cabin is true Hog Valley, Ocala National Forest experience so the road getting there is dirt and can be bumpy like most dirt roads are but it wasn't a big deal. The tables and chairs out front were comfortable and the perfect place for morning coffee. Nicholas, the host was friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely!!
