There is also a one bedroom apartment on the second floor of the carpenter's barn which sleeps 6 and includes a full bath and kitchenette.

Enjoy a peaceful get-away in a beautifully renovated, historic cottage. The 115 acre property is on a peninsula with over 2 miles of shoreline. This charming home has water access, trails, a canoe, a hammock, and a lovely grilling patio. The cottage is on the private grounds of Whitehall Mansion, built in 1764 as the home of Governor Sharpe. We live in an apartment attached to a 100 year old barn where my daughter and her family reside. We lovingly call our place "Howard's Cove Retreat." We are 3 miles from Annapolis and our home is located on Luce Creek. We offer two bedrooms and two full baths, a full kitchen and a living area, plus access to outdoor space and boating off of our dock. Our place is good for couples and families especially those who want to be close to their Naval Academy sons/daughters.

The Red Barn is located in a very rural setting about 10 miles from Gettysburg. The Red Barn is approximately 1/2 mile off the main road and within a stone's throw of the Mason Dixon Line. If you are looking for a quiet space with not super internet this is the place.
