Absolutely loved my 2 night stay, felt like I was in complete luxury ✨️ Was spotless, modern, amazing bathroom & facilities! Bed was so comfortable, hot tub was easy to heat, the little on site pub was brilliant fun!

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

We had the best stay! Lisa’s home is beautiful and cosy. We felt relaxed as soon as we stepped in. Lisa was extremely thoughtful to have left us a welcome gift for us and our dogs The dogs loved the blankets provided and the extra treats The beds were so comfortable and clean. Everything was spotless Lisa was kind enough to offer an earlier check in on the day. We climbed Scaffell pike and went to Seascale Beach. It was a perfect stay with family Would hugely recommend !!

We have enjoyed a fabulous 3 nights at Teapot Cottage. The Cottage is compact and cosy and finished to a really high standard. The kitchen is really well equipped and the decor is gorgeous. Everywhere was spotlessly clean when we arrived and Lammisa’s communication throughout our stay made it a really easy and enjoyable. The hot tub is a fabulous treat at the end of the day and we had a lovely surprise of a tray of treats left for us to enjoy when we arrived! We will definitely be back!

Excellent stay. One of the best if not the best stay that i ever booked.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Cleator. The cottage was exactly as described and we had everything we needed. It was easy to find and there was parking outside most days. We wanted a walking holiday and this cottage was perfect - it is right on the famous Wainwright Coast to Coast National Trail (in fact the route is on the pavement outside!) and you can walk back to St Bees or up towards Ennerdale Bridge. You can also walk down to the Ehen river in one minute. We also drove out to walk Scaffel Pike and Haystacks as well as reaching other parts of the C2C towards Grasmere. A drive to Ravensglass is also recommended - it's a beautiful untouched village on the Esk estuary with a narrow gauge railway that takes you up to Eskdale. Thank you to David and Victoria who were extremely welcoming and helpful with a couple of questions that we had whilst there. For great food shopping, we used the Coop at Egremont and Cleator Moor which were both just over a five minute drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Howe, the cottage was perfect for exploring the Lakes. It was a real home from home with a handy local shop and pub. The private fenced garden was great as we had our dog with us, it also kept out the local sheep! Would recommend Rebecca’s place for a visit, it was clean, has great amenities and lots of character and charm. The lovely walk along the river to Elterwater is recommended, as is a stop at the Britannia Inn, the food was very good. Overall a great stay, thank you.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

We arrived at Hylands for our stay at La’al cottage. It was exactly as you can see in the pictures a true reflection. The grounds are absolutely stunning private and we enjoyed a fire pit which was spectacular listening to birds and owls. Cottage is cosy and welcoming and we had a great stay thank you Emma and Craig. We loved it and will be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Emma and Gary's cottage, it is lovely and spacious, the garden was a bonus, and the area is beautiful and peaceful. Emma has thought of things you may need to make your stay enjoyable, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay at Emma and Gary's cottage, a great base to enjoy this part of the Lake District.

We had a fantastic stay at Knott's View; the cottage was lovely, the garden a sun trap, and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed lots of walks straight from the door - so many loops, including Gowbarrow Fell with amazing views of Ullswater and then back through Aira Force waterfalls late one sunny evening. The pub opposite is good for a pint and pub food, and we visited Keswick (great tapas restaurant) and Pooley Bridge too, as well as Grenridding - all 10 to 20 min drive. Chris and Ruth were really helpful throughout.

We absolutely loved our Christmas at Seaglass Cottage. The hosts were great, answered any questions, gave us detailed instructions for check-in and even put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us. We were very lucky with the weather, enjoying walks along the beach right outside, we even found some seaglass (we felt like children!). The property was very clean, the bedding smelled so fresh, the kitchen had everything you might need, very clean bathroom and handy downstairs loo. Every evening we would sit in the cosy conservatory enjoying a glass of wine, watching the sun go down, people walking along the beachpath with their dogs and then into the lounge for a real log fire. It was perfect and we can't wait to return!

My husband, son, and I visited the Strawberry Cottage for four days and four nights recently and we had a wonderful time. It was the perfect size for us - ample space to lounge and cook meals. The beds were comfy so we got great sleep. And the location was perfect - just steps away from so many restaurants, the bus stop to adventures in nearby towns, and lots of trails around Derwentwater. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Location can’t be beat, with views of the mountains from the bedroom window, amazing walks from your doorstep (including the lake only minutes away) and the best pubs, cafes and bakeries down the road this is a fantastic Lake District base. We had a wonderful first visit to the area and loved Keswick and The Snug!

sinead and Q made us feel very welcome. The house was spotlessly clean, everything was provided that we would need for our stay. I would definitely recommend this house, very peaceful with a beautiful garden and a beck running through it.

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. The cottage was a lovely little place, all to ourselves, everything was clean and smelled nice. Host was amazing, proactive, and responded promptly. The town itself was secluded, peaceful, basic facilities available and the sound of birds chirping in the morning was the best thing to experience. Would 100% reccommend the place.

This was our second stay at The Haven and it was just as lovely as we remembered! Beautiful surroundings and extremely clean, the property had everything we needed. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future!

4 of us stayed at Penny's for 3 nights. Great stay-walkable to center of village-15 minute walk to Booth's (grocery). Fully stocked kitchen/Everything was super clean. Penny is great host.

I booked this place for a few of my work colleagues while they were in the area for a job, and they had a great stay. The house was clean, cosy, and had a really homely feel—just what they needed after long days at work. It’s in a lovely location too, which was a nice bonus. The host was super friendly and really attentive, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. Would definitely book again!
