Stordalen is the North-West entrance to Stølsheimen landscape conservation area. About 1.5 hours drive from Bergen. Grocery store in Ostereidet, and in Haugsvær. Mountain lodge with serving. Great cabin at the entrance gate to Stølsheimen. Large sunny terrace with beautiful water and mountain views. Possibilities for barbecue and bonfire. Great hiking terrain and 3 min drive to Stordalen ski resort. Possibility for hunting and fishing. Fishing/hunting cards can be purchased at Fjellstuen or online. Possibility to drive up and unload goods in summer, parking at Stordalen Fjellstue. Small road up to the cabin (as shown in the picture). In winter you have to walk up from Stordalen Fjellstue, this takes about 10 minutes.

Stordalen is the gateway to Stølsheimen and has many great hiking opportunities. Excellent tours up to 1000 meters above sea level nearby. Year-round road from E39 Matre Stordalen ski resort and prepared ski slopes. Unique location between Førde and Bergen makes it easily accessible. Maybe the perfect meeting place for the family?

Mini cabin in the middle of nature

Opplev det enkle og fredelige hyttelivet midt i nydelig vestlandsnatur. Omgitt av fjell, elver, vann og skog ligger denne lille hytten tibaketrukket til. Her får du virkelig følelsen av å være midt i naturen. Området byr på fine turmuligheter både mot Stølsheimen og Matrefjellene. For klatrere ligger det flotte feltet for buldring i Matre en 5 minutt kjøretur unna, og en flott storvegg er like ved hytten. Hytten har også sin helt egen buldrestein et par minutters rusletur unna.

Mellom skogen og fjorden finner du hytten "Stokkely" i Stokkevika rett før Modalen. Her kan man fiske, bade, grille eller rett og slett bare slappe av. Tomten er på 6 mål med parkering rett ovenfor. Merk at det inntil den nye veien ned til hytten er klar er masse trapper gjennom skogen. Det er totalt 80 trappetrinn. Vannet i hytten kommer fra en nærliggende elv og bør kokes.
