One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Follow Mario's advice and you will have an amazing time (ask if you can use the kayak!) Mario's son learned me a lot about music, and Mario himself made some fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks for everything, and hopefully we will meet again.

What a wonderful stay we had at Maria's! She literally welcomed us with open arms with a delicious lunch on her balcony with a beautiful view over the garden and the beautiful green hills. On the same balcony, we enjoyed an extensive and lovingly prepared breakfast every morning. The place is really great and especially the garden, which is like a paradise, full of fruit trees, olives, grapes, vegetables, herbs and other plants and flowers. There are nice seats everywhere to enjoy the wonderful garden with the beautiful view. And then Maria, a rare sweet, warm and caring woman. Everything she does feels sincere and straight from the heart. She was almost like a mother to us and like a grandmother to our daughter. It was not easy to say goodbye after 6 days, but we take the best memories with us. Thank you very much dear Maria!

Daniel's place is very atypical and warm. It has everything you need like at home. Ana welcomed us very warmly and is very very kind and available. If you are looking for tranquility and a change of scenery this is the place. There is a very nice cafe/restaurant in the village and the town of Mogadouro is only a 15 min drive away. A very nice city where we can find everything we need. For lovers of nature and beautiful landscapes it is here. We'll be back for sure

We loved it here! Rosa and Joao made us feel like family. Rosa is incredibly knowledgeable of the Village and the surrounding areas. The animals are friendly, you can walk through the areas without fear. The goats, Lemon (the donkey), Boss the puppy and so much more. Rosa should be the Mayor, she knows everyone and her friendly personality makes the entire Village glow. We were introduced to all the friendly people of the Aldeia Fuinhas. Rosa shared her knowledge of the cheese making process, I have new cheese making skills. The hostess with the mostest provided good wine, tasty orange cake, plenty of good herbal teas, the garden is bright and well maintained. I had a refreshing dip in the super clean pool on a hot day. Casa da Aldeia is a magical place for all ages to enjoy the surroundings and the Animals. You can find Joao or their friendly neighbor Joaquin milking the goats twice daily. You will love to see this fresh milk production; say cheese. We will see you again Rosa & Joao

A charming place and perfect communication with Maria Luisa, as well as breakfast, complete and very well cared for. We used the BBQ, which is for common use, and we had our own kitchen with a fridge, which is very good, as well as a porch. Very comfortable beds. the only downside is that there were cigarette butts in the ashtrays on our porch from previous guests and hair in the shower drain.

We felt so lucky to have spent a few days there. Amazing to stay in such a mid century gem, designed by the owner’s architect father. It is quite basic in terms of amenities which adds to its authenticity although cooking is a bit challenging. But the pool is very luxurious. And the home made cheese and daily fresh bread were wonderful. Irene is a kind and friendly host. We could not locate the place but she drove to meet us and lead us there. When a fuse blew one evening (it was extremely hot) she came and fixed it immediately. She could not have been more gracious, we really enjoyed talking with her and hearing about the history of her family and the house. As others have mentioned, the nearest supermarket is about 45 minutes away so be sure to shop on your way. There are two very small refrigerators so bear that in mind when shopping. A truly memorable, special place.

Excellent location to escape the daily grind and enjoy the silence and contact with nature. The property has a jacuzzi and swimming pool for moments of leisure and deep relaxation. The kids loved it. The house is very cozy, beautiful, and pleasant. Immense space and you can still enjoy some homemade fruits. I highly recommend it, and I will certainly return.
