Holiday rentals with beach access in Matala beach

Giorgio’s place was beautiful and well maintained. He was always very responsive (Ben when we locked ourselves out) and gave us recommendations for the local super market and an AMAZING place for dinner. The home was very comfortable with a beautiful sea view and had everything we needed.

From Sunrise to Sunset the North facing second floor apartment and balcony offered incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Rethymnon Marina and Fortezza … absolutely no issues or problems with check in, in/out access with secure gated and covered garage parking … comfortable bed, quite building, hot water shower/sinks, flawless high speed internet, excellent cable TV, soft linens, sheets and pillows 5⭐️!

We had a really nice stay at this accommodation! Very quiet, secluded location with a great private pool, large terrace and superbly equipped apartment. Dimitrios was always immediately available and gave us great tips for the area. The nearest town with a beach is within walking distance, and there are a supermarket and taverns there. We will be happy to come back! :)

What a wonderful apartment! The location was perfect for a weekend beach getaway. Everything was very clean and in great condition. Very special thanks to Maria for the cheese pies she dropped off to us for breakfast one morning, they were delicious! Overall it was fantastic place and we'll definitely consider returning in the future. Thanks again for everything!

Giannis is a very invested, responsive and discreet host. We really enjoyed the welcome with a pastry (very good!), the oranges in the fridge as well as the drinks made available. The environment is very pleasant and the location is ideal, quiet but close to the promenade with restaurants. If there were any questions, Giannis was always available as well as to make recommendations to us. Listing is as described. However, it should not be too big for the night part and the bathroom but otherwise everything was very good!

We stayed for two nights in Agia Galíni with Panagiotis, and the experience was really relaxing. The accommodation is very beautiful, perfectly matches the photos, even with a terrace larger than we expected! Upon arrival, we had the pleasure of meeting our host, who welcomed us warmly and gave us excellent recommendations for our excursions during the stay. He was available, attentive and very good advice until we left. We highly recommend this place, which offers great value, in the heart of a charming village with many restaurants and bars. We'll be happy to come back!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing time in Kalamaki. The place was perfect for us. We enjoyed the sea view every day with sunsets and the tranquility. The short distance to the beach, restaurants or supermarket was also brilliant. Communication was perfect from start to finish. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a quiet but ingenious location, this is the place to be. We can definitely recommend the hosts.

Absoutely Amazing Experience! The villa is amazing! Beautiful space which immediately makes you feel like home. Everything about our stay there was beyond our imagination. We spent wonderful and relaxing holidays in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully furnished, with high-quality furniture and it really lacks nothing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also organized the transfer from the airport and it worked out perfectly. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will gladly think back to the time and come back soon.

The house was modern and comfortable. The pool was amazing - such a relaxing spot to unwind. We were surrounded by beautiful olive trees and stunning views, which made the atmosphere feel peaceful and special. And one of our favorite parts was the grill area. We loved spending evenings cooking and dining outdoors.

Me and my family of 4 (kids 13 and 8) had a terrific time at the Eco House. A very light, clean house on spacious premises with a superview over the Lybian Sea, and under an immense sky full of stars. We had diner on the terrace, used the firegrill outside. Agios Pavlos was our favorite beach with a tasty taverna and superfriendly staff (a 10 minute drive). We made trips to Agia Galini, Knossos, Rethymnon, the mountains, monasteries and many other beaches, all within 20 minutes to max 1,5 hour driving distance. I rented a mountainbike and cycled the challenging peaks and routes in the beautiful, green area. I highly recommend the place and the host was extremely helpful over the phone and e-mail when we needed some info.

We spent a week at Eva's place, in a very quiet location surrounded by nature - including beautiful views of the sea. The nearest beach is within walking distance, tamarisk trees even provide shade for longer stays. The nearby village of Lendas has nice taverns and 2 small mini-markets for everyday items. Eva is a very friendly and helpful hostess. The atmosphere in the accommodation, with other residents, is cozy and pleasant. The lovingly furnished amenities of the room offer everything you need in everyday life and are also very comfortable for just lingering. We will be happy to come back.

The location is special, we celebrated it. Beautifully located. Totally quiet and a little off the beaten path. We were feeling absolutely safe. The local restaurants were just open at the beginning of May - it's village-like. Car is necessary. The prices fair, the people friendly. Visiting free-living cats. A cat has born her kittens near the accommodation and feels part of the house. The first micromarket is 5 minutes away, in Gazi (10 min) there are larger shopping opportunities. The bathroom is small and like everything about the house lovingly designed. From the height of 180 cm, the use of the toilet requires some flexibility because of the legroom. The house is a dream if you want to relax and come down.

Dear Cleopatra, we were able to visit Kerames for the third time and your accommodation for the second time. We enjoyed it again! Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Just outside of the (now too busy) town. Still walking distance to town. Excellent views of both sea and highest mountain Spiliotis. I Friendly host. Can recommend. 👌

9 days vacation in a wonderful little apartment with a really great terrace. Everything is new and friendly and furnished with a lot of love. But we were even more impressed by Anna's cordiality and all her little (edible and drinkable) gifts, which were always at our door. Thank you so much again, dear Anna. The apartment is easily accessible, with its own parking space right in front of the door and within walking distance of the beach and town. On the beach, you can lie down on the available loungers in front of most taverns for free and enjoy the day. Of course, you should also eat something at the respective tavern. The way back from the beach and also from the port area in Agia Galini is safe for one or the other to describe as a bit more exhausting, just like the 3 floors up to Annas apartment. With heavy suitcases, a challenge :) But, with that you can then also go to one of the many taverns to eat comfortably with a clear conscience!!

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and new large apartment. Excellent location attached to the beach. Very clean and well-stocked. It was a pleasure to spend a few days here and we will be happy to return!

We stayed one night at Alexis’ apartment before we head to Chania, it’s a cosy and quiet place, close to everything, Alexis is very supportive and responsive, giving some good suggestions for local restaurants, we tried two, both are great, thanks for the local advices, giving us some unforgettable experience here.
