The location is great. Close to everything within walking distance such as the town square and Narváez. if you stay out late the street the casa is on isn't very well lit, but there is a little 24 store to make it feel a little safer. The entire way door to the actual room is a little on the tight side (I'm not a little guy width-wise) but it is a double door, just when I was there I only opened one door. not a big issue. the cell connection can be an issue (not uncommon in Cuba as almost all my stays have had issues) and Donna's is no different but I would consider it very good. there is limited wifi that worked good when available. Arriane and everyone was very helpful and considerate. they helped with suggestions, and provided tours, however my stay was short and I didn't have enough time to take up any of the tours. overall, excellent stay! close to everything and the energy of the locals.

I really enjoyed my stay here, and would definitely stay again! Host was responsive and often asked me if I needed anything for my Casa. Great location and I felt safe walking around the neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. Alay also provided recommendations to local attractions, activities and the restaurants too. Mini fridge was conveniently stocked with refreshments ($), breakfast and dinner is also available if requested ahead of time ($). Thanks again, Alay and please also give my regards to your worker (Ella?), she was great too.

We had such good time staying here at the beginning of our trip, we came back at the end of our time in Cuba! These are incredible hosts ... the breakfast and dinner was delicious, so friendly, so fun to talk to. And good local recommendations. They helped us with arranging rides and that we had a good time in Carbonera. We highly recommend staying here!

An incredible stay here, Juana and Ilandy were wonderful hosts and coming home to them felt like a warm hug, after a long journey. We really cherished our stay, with them going above and beyond for us and would 100% stay again, if we return. A beautiful home and very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and the vibe of Matanzas was a great escape from hectic Havana. Thanks for everything!

We were very comfortable at Osvaldo's house. We met his father, a charming gentleman with whom we were conversing very at ease and his nephew who turned on the generator upon arrival. They made sure everything was perfect for us. The room was very clean and everything was very good.

Getaway in Matanzas: Comfort, Views and Location

Lazaros home was what I was hoping for from the add and more. The location is perfect! Right in town where there is lots to do and see and all walkable. The home is so comfortable and nice. I got to spend time with Lazaro’s mom who is a real sweetheart. We chatted as much as we could considering the language barrier and just relaxed during an extremely hot couple days. There is a beautiful outside deck area with great views. I can’t recommend Lazaro’s home enough. You get what you pay for and much more. I’ll be going back for sure!
