Holiday houses in Matsubara

We stayed at Yuya-san’s guesthouse during our visit to the 2025 Osaka Expo. It was a wonderful stay. The tatami room is very cozy, and the house is very traditional and organized, located in a peaceful neighborhood with great access to train and delicious local food spots. We also did 2 bike tour experiences with Yuya-san and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend! We will definitely stay again with Yuya-san.

Everything that we’ve read in the previous reviews before coming here was true! This accommodation was exceptional thanks to the hosts’ (grandparents) sincere care, openness and love that they’ve shown us throughout our stay. They truly treated us as if we were their grandchildren and over a dinner when they’ve cooked for us, we got to know each other more. Meeting them and their lovely cat and staying in their home was an unforgettable experience that I can recommend to everyone. And even though we didn’t speak Japanese, we managed to communicate through Google translator. The room was beautifully lit by a natural light and it had big closets and comfortable beds. Wifi was super fast and there’s also air-conditioning. The closest train/metro station takes about 15 min walking. There are also bus stations nearby but they don’t operate that frequently. Despite the language barrier, we couldn’t have wished for better hosts and accommodation and we hope that we will come back here again!

I had such a wonderful time at this beautiful , clean, architecturally sophisticated modern home. I experienced a generous young couple , smart and intelligent businesslady Maya and her wonderful partner Hide made me feel like being at a home away from home. The quiet location is well connected , 5 minutes from the station and perfect to explore Nara and Kyoto being only 40 minutes away .The house has all the amenities you could dream of , a very nice touch is the free organic tea , mineral water and a luxury bonus is the filtered shower keeping you clean and fresh , super valueable in a hot japanese summer .Being worldtravelers themselves representing the best of a young japanese generation who is openminded it was great fun and fascinating to talk and on many occasions i was impressed with their knowledge and insights of traditional and modern Japan .Thankyou so much for your wonderful hospitality you are the ( secret ) Airbnb superstars one can only dream of . Love you guys !

Fijn verblijf van 8 dagen. Mooi modern appartement in Japanse stijl ingericht met balkon. Nabij station. Gastvrij ontvangen, perfecte communicatie. Ik vond het fijn om buiten het centrum te verblijven. Goede uitvalsbasis voor dagtrips of het ontdekken van rustige delen van Osaka. Centrum op 35 minuten reizen afstand. In prettige buurt met bakkertje, ijssalon, kleine restaurants en grote supermarkt op loopafstand. Alles schoon en netjes. Zeer behulpzame host. Trein is hoorbaar, maar stoorde mij niet. Dit verblijf sloot perfect aan op mijn wensen en ik zou graag nog een keer terugkomen.

I think that this place, that I stayed in, was magnificent. I enjoyed my stay there. If I visit Osaka, Japan in the future, I will come and stay here again. The accommodation is situated in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood. The subway is not too far, about 15 - 20 minutes by walking. There is a convenience store, right across the street. My room was clean and tidy. There is a bathroom, shower and a kitchen. I had my own fridge for the room that I was staying in. The owner of the accommodation was helpful and nice to me. Overall, very good place. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is planning on staying in Osaka, Japan.

房间里非常安静，房东很热情很友好，是一次非常好的体验。不论多少语言都很难形容我住在这里有多舒适，房子在居民区，可以感受当地人的生活，同时离地铁站也很近。房子很漂亮，传统的日式房屋，我在这里也结识到了一些很好的朋友。

Je recommande Mr et Mme Zhu, sont très accueillant et m’ont conseillé plusieurs fois sur les transports à prendre et les pass. Ils sont très gentils, la chambre et la maison sont très bien équipé.

3박동안 묵었는데 숙소가 사진처럼 정말 깔끔하고 똑같았어요! 들어가자마자 협탁이 보였는데 물2병과 티백,과자를 두셨더라구요 사소할수도 있겠지만 호텔에 온것마냥 대접 받는 기분이 들어서 여행 첫날부터 기분이 좋았어요! 그리고 세면대에 어매니티도 있어서 놀랐습니다 보통 이렇게까지 준비한 곳을 보지못했는데 감사했어요! 또 욕조에 바디워시,샴푸,트리트먼트,폼클렌징까지 있어서 따로 구매 안해도 된다는 점이 정말 좋았습니다 묵는 손님들에 대한 배려가 느껴져서 너무 편하게 있다가 왔네요! 또 방이 약간 쌀쌀했지만 요즘 날씨가 좋아서 히터나 에어컨 안틀어도 춥거나 덥지 않아서 편하게 지낼수있었습니다! 그리고 저는 혼자 묵어서 캐리어 28인치 하나를 펴놓고 지낼수있었는데 2명 이상 묵으시면 조금 좁을수 있을거 같아요 그리고 숙소가 5층이였는데 엘레베이터가 있어서 짐이 무거워도 편하게 이동할수있었고 숙소 근처에 역도 7분거리에 있어서 좋았어요 또 근처에 큰 마트들이 꽤 많이 있었고 편의점도 패밀리마트 세븐일레븐 로손 다 골고루 있더라구요 숙소 정말 잘 잡은거 같아요! 동네도 한적하고 조용해서 근처 산책하기에도 좋았습니다 체크인 체크아웃도 수월하게 할수있었습니다! 근데 콘센트가 세면대랑 방에 하나밖에 없는거 같아서 그부분은 살짝 아쉬웠어요 베란다도 보면 세탁기랑 건조대가 있는데 오래 묵으시면 사용하기 좋을거 같아요 볕도 잘 들어서 날씨 좋으면 금방 마를거 같더라구요! 소음도 심하지 않았고 컨디션 너무 좋은 숙소를 찾은거 같아서 좋네요 !! 다음에 오사카 갈일 있으면 또 묵고 싶습니다!!
