Beachfront holiday rental in Meares Island

This was one of the most memorable stays we've had throughout all our years travelling. The photos truly don't capture how great this place is. We had a private spa surrounded by a beautiful forest - it was magical. The backyard is very private and it was super quiet. The unit has every amenity and we'd recommend anyone stay here for a romantic getaway and hope we can come back one day!

We loved our stay. It was very clean & cozy & very well kept. It was exactly as described. One fridge was more like a freezer (that we could control) which we appreciated for our frozen foods! Even with it not being a full kitchen we still felt able to cook which was nice. The hot tub was lovely after long days of surfing. Felt very safe in a very quiet neighbourhood. Host was kind enough to let us check in early.

We felt so lucky to stay at Barbra’s place in Tofino. The surroundings were beautiful and right on the beach. Just lovely! We hope to come back one day. Thank you Barbra for an amazing stay!

Spent 5 nights here in May 2025. Located in a beautiful spot with easy access to a beautiful hike along the water. The view from the hot tub is stellar. Lots of thoughtful amenities in the kitchen. We felt right at home! Bryan was friendly, had amazing local recommendations and was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and walkable. Love this location and was able to share with aging parents, sister and hubby. So spacious and well equipped. Will be back.

Thank you to Paula and Dominic for sharing such a spacious, light-filled, and beautifully designed home with us. We loved everything about it — the high ceilings, the large deck with a BBQ, and the cozy home theatre with a projector in the loft where we spent our evenings. It was also wonderful to have access to a surfboard and beach chairs, which made our stay even more special. Our communication with Paula was exceptionally warm and thoughtful — going far beyond what we usually expect. What an amazing place! All the amenities you’d like, close to the village but my god, what an amazing location!!! 🤩 The sunset over the bay, the sunrise, the eagles and other birds calling… Simply breathtaking, we couldn’t get enough of it! The hosts are very responsive, helpful and friendly. Strongly recommended!!!

The place is super spacious, nicely decorated and feels peaceful and calm inside. Linens and towels were soft and lovely. Kitchen was well stocked with small appliances and everything you could need to cook. Speedy internet and a big TV! He was fast at answering question and very pleasant. 100% recommended

I loved my stay at Shore Cabin. The cabin is secluded, quiet, with a lovely view. The cabin is compact, but the space has been effectively planned – the perfect size for me. One should plan for the limited cooking facilities. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful in returning the device charger I left behind – many thanks!

Would definitely stay here again! Fabulous place, clean, bright, welcoming & private! We used the hot tub everyday! It’s a brisk 5 minute walk to Chesterman Beach (my favourite) and a nice location for the activities we did but far enough out of town that it felt private.

The studio is very thoughtfully designed with a very comfortable mattress and linens. The location is beautiful and is a very short walk to the spectacular Wild Pacific Trail. Well stocked with locally procured, excellent coffee and tea.

It was a great family spot with lots of room for kids to run around. The house was very comfortable and great to return to at the end of the day. The kitchen was very well equipped and allowed us to easily make meals. The proximity to the beach was the winning point for us.

The cottage is perfectly situated overlooking the water and provides gorgeous mornings and evenings. It is a nice quiet escape and the hot tub is very relaxing. I would recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at Pete’s place, I only wish we could have stayed longer! We appreciated the extra touches and he accommodated for our requests so easily. Very charming location within easy walkable distance of the beaches and scenic trails. Thank you so much!!!

This place was amazing! The view was amazing and we enjoyed time down on the “private” beach area. Great place to stay and we would definitely go back!

Very nice, well-maintained and cozy accommodation - we enjoyed the view of the bay very much & also were able to watch a black bear in the distance. Everything was there, in the kitchen as well as in the bathroom. There is ample space for everything. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Vivienne's cottage was exceedingly tranquil and restorative. She has put a tremendous amount of thought into making this space restful. She has fostered an environment that encouraged my family to connect with each other but there was also plenty of spaces for each of us to slip away to recharge on our own. There was an exquisite collection of brand new books that reflected her desire to appeal to a variety of ages and interests. The furniture and colour palette were both bright and relaxing. We felt welcome and appreciated- she had left a note for us and there were simple instructions on appliances to help us quickly ease into the cottage. We loved showering outside after our surf sessions. It was easy to get out for a bike ride into town or up to Pacific Rim National Park. The gelato and surf rental shops were minutes away by bike/car. It was very windy in Tofino however, the cottage is in the lee- it was pleasant to sit outside on her comfy chairs, upper deck or front porch

I had a wonderful stay at Pete’s place in Tofino! The house was beautiful, the hot tub was pristine, and it’s tucked away in nature, which made it feel really peaceful and private. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the area. Pete was an awesome host! He was friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. I’d definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tofino.

We had a great stay at Barbs place. It was exactly the relaxing vacation I had been looking for. The area is so beautiful and peaceful. I chose this place for my kids to look for seashells and ocean life and it did not disappoint! My kids got to see tons of sea life and found tons of neat shells. Me and my son did the lighthouse loop which is close by and well worth the views. The town is beautiful and not overcrowded. It is exactly as the pictures show..or even better. You won’t be disappointed! We loved our stay at the black rock ocean house and we hope that we can come back some day ❤️

10/10 would escape reality here again. We soaked in the hot tub like blissed-out sea otters, roasted s’mores like it was a competitive sport, and devoured a 3-course meal that somehow nailed it for both a carnivore and a vegan. Great Wi-Fi, so we could post it all in real-time while pretending to unplug. Pure magic. Highly recommend.

Great stay, great place, great host. Everything as described or better. Place was very nice and comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. Beach access right across the street, close to town, but also removed enough to give it a secluded and relaxing vibe. Outdoor shower was great to rinse off the kids (and adults) after the beach then jump into the sauna to dry off. EV charging was also a big plus for our Nissan Ariya and Tesla. Looking forward to returning when we get a chance.

I opened the door to Akua and let Tina go through first...and she stopped dead so that I bumped into her...I can't print what she said, but suffice it to say that we spent our time there revelling in the complete privacy and the view that was like none we have ever experienced before. The unit was so comfortable, the hot tub and sauna was used every evening, the kitchen was used every morning...remarkable. The town is small, but we happened upon a most remarkable restaurant, Pluvia...Do yourself a favour...stay here, and have the chefs tasting menu at Pluvia. Thank you Ruben.

Magical incredible West Coast Tofino Paradise. Beach access. Hot tub with sunset views. Kitchen, well appointed and lots of useful spices oil and amenities. Stereo on TV link to my devices without a problem.

Wow!! This accommodation was well beyond a 5 star rating. Even though the photos are accurate, they do not do this beautiful home justice. We were two couples and as avid world travelers we all unanimously agreed this is the nicest home we have ever stayed in. You will absolutely want for nothing. Our host was the best, friendly, and very expeditious responding to our messages. This is a home that exudes serenity. Private with outstanding natural foliage surrounding you, complimented with a most inviting deck. The amenities are all of top quality, well organized, and very clean. The home is bright, matched with towels and linens found only in elite hotels. We were sad to leave, however, will no doubt return. We guarantee you will collect nothing but fond memorable moments to reflect and cherish for a lifetime. Do not miss out staying here, we absolutely guarantee you will not regret it.
