Traditional and cosy Private room

Experience life in a historical Tunisian home a few minutes walk from the old city. You will have a suite on one side of the house opening onto the courtyard, and my mom and I stay on the opposite side. My mom cooks the best Tunisian food, and you are warmly invited to join us for meals; we can also bring breakfast and other meals to your room, if you prefer. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. We have a small dog and cat, and we are home most of the day.

Dar Zyne la Médina, Zyne room

Dar Zyne is a small traditional palace of the sixteenth century in the center of the Medina of Tunis, classified as a historical monument, an exceptional and warm setting for an immersion in Tunisian cultures and traditions as well as the history of the Medina, it is located two minutes from the Zitouna Mosque and one minute from the souks of the Medina, the airport is 15 minutes away. Ps: We do not accept unmarried Tunisian couples.

It is a traditional house where all the rooms face a large patio and its fountain, thus offering a way of life where exchange and sharing are the rule while guaranteeing the privacy of each person. The bedroom features a double bed, a desk area, and finally shower and toilet. There is also a kitchen reserved for guests with tea, coffee and snacks. Close to the house: the city center, artisans, shops, taxis, stations (bus and train).

Located in the heart of the Medina of Tunis, 5 minutes from downtown Tunis, Dar Zyne is newly renovated while keeping its traditional and authentic style. Its foundation dates back to the 16th century, towards the end of the reign of the Mouradite Beys. It is located two minutes from the Zitouna Mosque and one minute from the souks of the Medina, the airport is 15 minutes away. Ps: We do not accept unmarried Tunisian couples.

The second contains a single bed. Possibility to add an extra crib/mattress. Possibility also to have lunch on-site at a surcharge. The kitchen and the bathroom are common with the owners of the house.
