Earth house holiday rentals in Meknes-Tafilalet

It was such a special place. Both the home of Fanny and Mustapha, as well as Tinghir were such a magical surprise for us. Mustapha made us feel very welcomed, he prepared a delicious dinner and it was really a pleasure to get to know him. The view from the room is fantastic and the roof terrace is just another cherry on top. We would definitely recommend also taking time to have a walk around the palmeria which is just underneath the house. We really hope to come again soon and would recommend checking the arrival instructions - as it is in a small village and not immediate to find. The description that we received from Fanny was very helpful, and we managed to find it well.

Our stay at Fanny’s place was fantastic. Communication was smooth and easy. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and offered great value for the price. We especially enjoyed the stunning view over the oasis of Tinghir — breathtaking! Fanny’s husband Mustapha also cooked for us, and the (vegetarian) food was really good! I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable, memorable experience in Tinghir!

Notre séjour c'est très bien passé, joli endroit, accueil chaleureux, piscine très agréable par cette chaleur, endroit très reposant, dîner et petit-déjeuner parfait, je recommande.

Un acceuil et instructions utiles .. Moustapha et Fanny vous accueillent dans la pure tradition berbère par le biais de ce logement authentique ! Une expérience immersive pour une nuit berbère et les échanges avec Moustapha qui connaît bien son village ! Une tres belle rencontre et je recommande vivement cet hébergement !

Très bon accueil et logement de qualité, belle maison de caractère avec tout le confort requis. Rencontre très sympathique avec Lahcen et Rachid, une cuisine authentique et de qualité. La proximité avec les jardins de la vallée des roses est agréable pour effectuer une balade dans le secteur. Nous serions heureux de revenir faire une excursion avec Lahcen qui est guide officiel.

We have really enjoyed our stay with Lhoussein’s family during our trip. It is an excellent stop when crossing the Atlas mountains. Do not expect a 5 star hotel but if you like to experience some true local Berber culture then this is the place to be. We were warmly hosted by the family. The older children speak some French and English. Lhoussein himself was away for work but communication with him was easy . His wife Aisha is a kind hostess and wonderful cook . We enjoined dinner (you can ask for this in advance) and breakfast. In the bedroom you will find a stack of blankets and we did not feel cold at all. Please note that this location used to be one big Guesthouse but has now been split in 2. One side is Lhoussein through Airbnb only and the other is run by his sister on another booking (!) site. Chose this one!!!.

It was a very peaceful place to stay and Moubarak was an excellent host. We went for a walk in the nearby dunes and the mountains. It was a safe and peaceful experience. I definitely recommend.

Excellent séjour à Dar Timitar, avec un très bon accueil de la part d’Ahmed, et le site tout à fait exceptionnel avec un vue à couper le souffle.

We had a nice stay at Abdoul's home - a clean, nice and comfortable place. Thanks to Ahmed who picked us up at and gave us a lift to the bus station, which made our check-in/out much easier. They also arranged us new year eve camel rides and a camping night in desert which was a lifetime memory for us. We'd like to recommend Abdoul's home to you.

Nice simple BnB in a beautiful remote location up on a mountain overlooking the awesome roses valley. We came directly from Marrakech with a small rental car and where really happy to find the exact opposite of the hustle and bustle of the city. We couldn't find this hotel for a longer time because there are several locations in maps.me but after asking some locals we finally made it. It's about 5mins drive on a dirt road off the main road from kalaat m'gouna. Best would be to save the GPS location before coming here. When we finally found it we were greeted by the hosts which are really nice and friendly people that prepared a dinner for us and gave us some tips for the area. Dinner and breakfast were good. Expect couscous or tagine as everywhere else in this part of marocco ;)

La kasbah Ait kassi est une très belle demeure au calme, à deux pas de Boulmanes Dades et de Kelaat M’Gouma où j’ai assisté au festival des roses🌹. Ahmed est un hôte extrêmement accueillant et attachant, sa femme bonne cuisinière. Les quantités sont généreuses et les prix modérés. j’y reviens toujours avec grand plaisir. A bientôt Christine

Nous avons passé 3jours chez Omar, pour un voyage familial. L'accueil est excellent et la famille très agréable et chaleureuse. Les repas sont très bons ( excellente tagine aux légumes!). L'emplacement de l'auberge est idéal, devant les dunes et Omar nous a organisé une belle soirée bivouac dans le désert. Adresse à recommander !

Wij hebben een fantastisch tijd meegemaakt bij en met L’Houssien. Wij hadden een nachtje geboekt op doorreis naar Merzouga vanuit Fes. Bij aankomst werden we ontvangen met thee en stelde L’Houssien voor om naar de nomaden te gaan die hij ondersteunt. Fantastisch ervaring, 30 minuten lopen en vervolgens in een tent met deze mensen thee gedronken. In de avond mochten we bij zijn familie mee eten en had zijn vrouw een fantastisch lekkere Tajine gemaakt. De volgende ochtend nam L’Houssien ons mee naar een verlaten dorp via een oude bergpas, wat ook adembenemend was! Kortom, voor de meest locale en unieke ervaring zou ik een nachtje bij L’Houssien boeken. De kamer is prima, niet luxe, maar gewoon prima. Dank L’Houssien voor de mooie ervaring!

Very open-hearted host. Even though I made a mistake in my booking, we could find an arrangement. And the breakfast on the rooftop terrace was delicious!

We stumbled upon Nkob on our way back from Merzouga and were so glad we did. This vibrant village is full of charm, with well preserved Berber architecture and a lively market for picking up local goods. The Kasbah is cozy and tastefully decorated, with both Berber and Moroccan-style lounges, and two rooftops perfect for stargazing or soaking in the mountain views. Moha, the host, is full of heart and vision. He’s passionate about preserving the culture of his village and finding ways to support the local community through thoughtful tourism. He kindly took the time to show us around the nearby oasis—a gesture we deeply appreciated, and one that made the experience even more special. I’m glad we took this lesser-known route back to Marrakech. I’d love to return for a hike to the prehistoric rock carvings, more cooking classes with the chef, and a dip in the soon-to-be-finished pool. Thank you for having us—this place is full of soul and well worth a visit.

Ali è stato sempre molto gentile e disponibile. Il personale dell’albergo sempre pronto ad ogni richiesta. Il posto incantevole , cucina tipica gustosa e abbondante e le esperienze nel deserto davvero uniche (quad divertentissimo e tour in jeep molto interessante, , con un autista molto bravo . Insomma , ci siamo divertiti parecchio. Grazie Ali!!!

We loved Planet Sahara & can't wait to go back. We are travelling around Morocco for 9 weeks and it was our favourite stay with the best hosts. Mohamed & Aziz were the best hosts and could not do enough for us. Lovely tea or coffee available and a great breakfast. Nice room and comfortable bed and very clean. They organised a camel trek with overnight stay in the Sahara desert which was amazing and we could have done a 4x4 trip but didn't have enough time. We were fortunate enough to celebrate the end of Ramadan with Mohamed and he cooked a delicious lamb tagine for us. We loved it so much we booked another night! Can't wait to go back!

Nous avons eu un énorme coup de cœur pour cette magnifique maison traditionnelle marocaine proposé par Farid. La déco intérieur est typique marocaine, tout en étant moderne, la literie est très confortable. La maison est situé un peu en altitude ce qui donne de merveilleux paysage dans une tranquillité et un calme quasi absolue si ce n'est le son de la nature... On s'y sens vraiment très bien. Déconnexion total au presque avec le wifi (qui a une bonne portée). Pas mal de rando à faire dans les environs. Un kiffe total pour les amoureux de la nature 😍 Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ❤️

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans un dôme atypique très confortable et très propre. La piscine est magnifique, le petit déjeuner au top et Mostafa très accueillant .

Además del lugar, un sitio de ensueño ubicado en las dunas. Muy cerca de las dunas de Er Chebig. La habitación lo que esperaba. Sin lujos pero con todo lo necesario. Una habitación estilo beréber. Pero lo mejor la atención por parte Moha, siempre dispuesto a arreglarte cualquier incidencia. Recomiendo salidas a ver las dunas o de noche a ver el firmamento. O simplemente disfrutar de La Paz del albergue. También recordar que producen”moringa oliofera”. Y en verano hacen baños de arena. Un par de días inolvidables. Volveré seguro.

Notre séjour à Kasbah IFRI a été très appréciable. Mohammed et son neveu sont incroyablement serviable et gentil. Les chambres disposent de salle de bain privé et nous avons accès à la piscine. Il est conseillé de prévoir à manger avant car il n’y a aucun restaurant aux alentours, la Kasbah étant isolée.
