This 536 s.f. house, believed to have once been a sleeping shanty for railroad crews switching shifts for the night. Fully renovated and updated in 2021 by a local artist, you will find custom metal art throughout, granite countertops and a very warm cabin feel featuring a kitchen and bathroom finished with locally sourced Missouri dark red cedar, 10 minutes from six flags, Purina farms 15 min from hidden valley and 45 min from downtown this place is in a great location and will not disappoint!

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. The cabin is located about a mile from one of the prettiest spots on big river with a public access. Coffee shops, restaurants and ice cream parlors are all within 5 miles of your stay. 30+ acres of land with an established trail system for exploring. Here you can do as much or as little as you wish. No roughing it in this modern cabin! From the granite countertops to the ductless heating and cooling unit our guest are comfortable.

Price of $135 per night is based on up to 2 people; additional people ages 8 & older $25 extra per person per night. *Hot tub & Pool:we reserve the right to close the hot tub or pool for any mechanical issues that may occur and that is beyond our control. Take a stroll to the pond or creek where you will see a little piece of history, or possibly enjoy a visit from our sweet cows. Close to La Chance winery, Desoto town, Big River access points, valley view glades, & Washington state park.

Historic log cabin circa 1840 moved to property June 2020. Take a step back in time with furniture and decor to match the cabin’s time period. Located between two houses in newly formed Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park. It is a 10 minute walk to the main part of downtown and other historic tour sites. Adjoins Early American gift shop called Sassafras Creek Originals which is housed in the circa 1850 Brooks house. Close to wineries, biking and hiking.
