This is a very nice home to stay in whether you're staying in South Bend or need a home base to explore Indiana. Very convenient location and the house is fresh and seemingly renovated. Would highly recommend staying here.

Even more spacious than in the photos! Well-kept place, with a fully stocked kitchen, projector, BOSE speaker, and great backyard. Double shower in the master bedroom, and strong water pressure. Entry is easy with a code. Finally, the host is VERY accommodating, flexible, and responsive. Recommended!

Tiffany and John were great host! The house perfectly matched the description and was the perfect spot for a short weekend trip. The house was very homey and had everything you could need. The big yard was a huge plus as we had our dog with us! Tiffany and John were very responsive and very accommodating throughout our stay especially when we had to add another person to our reservation half way through our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here as it definitely feels like a second home!

My wife, oldest son, and I were looking for a quick getaway that wasn’t too far of a drive from Chicagoland. My wife came across Deborah’s listing and immediately knew it would be a nice location where the three of us could stay and my son could enjoy fishing. The cottage was located steps from the lake and my son spent hours fishing from the dock. The cottage was very clean and was the perfect size for the three of us. I think the only downside was that there weren’t many dining options nearby. We ended up eating one breakfast and one lunch in Walkerton and had dinner in Plymouth. The kitchen at the cottage did have enough supplies to enable us to cook two perch that my son caught earlier in the day, however.

Greg was an outstanding host! Always attentive and helpful. We have family in Rensselaer and always seek this place for our stay. It is easily accessible to downtown Rensselaer. Thanks Greg for your wonderful hospitality. We will be staying here again.

Very comfortable and lovely home to stay in. My birthday overlapped with the Indiana Migratory Bird Watching festival this year at the Dunes which was a fun way to celebrate with family and our dogs. Great home for nature lovers and birders alike. The hot tub is comfortable but if it’s windy do expect debris. Courtney was very responsive with all our hot tub needs. We used both AC and heat and both work well. Wifi is very easy to connect and troubleshoot. Very comfortable screened in porch. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend!!

The excellent taste of the hosts sets this rental apart from the rest. The decor in the home is beautifully curated. When you combine that with the views, it's a perfect vacation spot! We were grateful to be able to return for our fourth visit to Charles and Jeremy's home. Thank you for sharing it with us--we love it!

Very nice stay! Would definitely come back in the future. Plenty of room for 10 people comfortably. Xavier responded quickly to help us with our questions. Nice walk to the beach. It was what we needed for this trip. A nice relaxing weekend :)

Host was very responsive and helpful. we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Kids loved the pool and outside area! Great location and the house is decorated very beautifully! The kitchen provides everything you need to cook a meal also.

We had a great stay overall. From start to finish, Kailash was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. We needed a long-term stay with 2 big dogs, and this house worked great for us. We didn't get to use the pool much because the weather didn't cooperate, but the pool and patio area are gorgeous. The location is great, close to everything - grocery stores, restaurants, etc. There is a trail behind the house (accessible through a gate in the back yard), and it leads to a beautiful and huge forest preserve - beautiful for walks/hikes in the woods! The kitchen was a great space for us, and it had everything we might need for cooking, etc. The house was very comfortable for our family, and we would come again. Thank you, Kailash!

We stayed on the third floor of the complex and enjoyed Matthew's attention to detail. He gave a lot of thought to all components of his property.

The location was so peaceful and close to everything (10 mins from the dunes). The house was comfy and had everything you could possibly need. Melissa thought of everything! The pool.. OMG the best! The heater made the water PERFECT! Made it even more special that we could bring our dogs. The fully fenced yard was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

This home was super cozy for my big family. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the way it is set up makes you feel right at home. This home had everything we needed. TV’s, kitchen items, recommendations, and even fun family games and activities to do. Every time I visit the area I’ll be checking to see if it’s available. 10/10

We had a lovely family reunion at St Joe’s overlook. Kitchen came with literally everything- all sorts of cooking instruments (crock pot, air fryer, toaster etc), spices/oils, and zip lock bags for leftovers. All brand new appliances and ample prep space. We got the pool heated and it was wonderful! Very large size to fit all the family kids. The hot tub was a nice save for the adults who were freezing. Beautiful views from the living room of the river with ample and comfy seating. The home was perfect for a large gathering. We appreciate Evan and Claire hosting us they were always responsive and helpful.

Lovely home, many well thought out perks like fans in upstairs rooms and beach toys for kids! Info said it was an easy short walk to beach so I spent a whole lot more than I usually would. With children it would not be pleasant and is really not a short walk (and is on a semi busy road) & beach is down a whole lot of steps. BUT there are parking spaces so it was fine. Within the house, the steps are fairly steep at parts & there are 2?big ones going into house &!these were hard for my 70 year old mom w knee issues. So if person reading reviews is one of those people, this might not be THE place. That being said, it is very short walk to community pool & host is very responsive & house is beautiful! My mom mostly stayed within first floor including an awesome bed/bath on ground floor. There are games (although I didn’t love the Ouija board 🫣😂) . This would be a great place for multiple family / friends to split cost ;) Its very beautiful & community pool & hot tub are great!

This is our 5th year of vacationing in New Buffalo and have stayed at Missy's place on 3 of those visits! The house works beautifully for our family (7 adults and 4 kids under 6 yo) and you're never tripping over each other, which makes it so relaxing! We'll be back!!

Jon was an extremely responsive and helpful host, and this home was perfect for our entire family (including our dogs)! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely look to book this home again when we come back to the area.

Our stay was great! Hosts were amazing- provided very detailed instructions on check-in, access codes and check-out. They even left us welcomes gifts - for the humans and our pups! House was well stocked making our week stay seemless. Fenced front yard was perfect for our pups to be able to vacation with us. The view/location is awesoem.

Stayed for a long weekend and had an amazing time! I plan a trip for a few friends every year and Ashley was by far the most amazing owner of the houses we've rented so far! She made sure everything was clean, answered questions quickly and thoroughly, and made sure she was available of we needed anything during our stay. The house itself was great with plenty of room for larger groups, kitchen stocked, and very tidy. Overall, amazing trip!

We had a great 1 night stay here. It was just as described and the location is a very short walk to a coffee shop, the restaurants on the Main Street, and all the antique shops. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and very comfy bed.

Simply beautiful! My daughter ( 7 year old) and my goddaughter ( 5 year old) enjoyed themselves! We loved the layout, beautiful scenery, spacious rooms, the updated amenities, the spa bathtub and the outdoor patio swing is amazing! This house is somewhere you can relax and rewind, enjoy yourself and feel safe at! Angie, is the best! I recommend you stay at Angie’s beach house! You will love this house!!!!!!

Quick visit for us. We were in town for a wedding in Frankfort, and simply needed a place that allowed dogs near the reception, and Vee's place was an excellent fit for the quick visit. Clean, private, easy to find - and if you're visiting the south burbs or even the city, this is easy a 5-star spot. Honestly, I hadn't been to Steger in quite some time, and yeah, it's still a quiet, cozy spot so that was great. I'd absolutely book Vee's place again - thanks for hosting us!

Michael has a great place that is very close to the Indiana Dunes. His directions for how to find the house were easy to follow. It was perfect place to be with my small dog and husband for a weekend away. It had everything you might need for meals in, spaces were well cleaned and well taken care of. We appreciated the small touches that were available to us. The train noise that was mentioned in previous reviews is not noticeable unless you’re outside. I don’t think we heard it at all indoors.
