We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

You can enjoy the fantastic views and scenery, take a walk around our farm and interact with the animals (donkeys, chickens, dogs). Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, The Cwtch is in a perfect location for a number of activities, e.g Brecon Mountain Railway, Bikepark Wales, Morlais Golf Course, River fishing and lots more. There are a number of pubs in the village that serve food and local beers.

Old Miners Cottage, Abercanaid

This bright and modern old miners cottage is a self contained home which includes 3 bedrooms and a practical bathroom on the first floor. Meanwhile the ground floor contains a kitchen and a large living/dining area with lots of light. The garden includes a lock up area for 6 bikes, where padlocks can be added as well as a place to sit to have a drink and relax. WIFI is FREE! We are perfectly located for Bike Park Wales, Brecon Beacons, Merthyr Rising, etc.

Gethin View is a perfect location for your visit to Bikepark Wales, Brecon Beacons and 4 falls. 5 minutes walk to the train and bus station and a ten minute ride to the Bikepark. We can accommodate up to eight guests with secure bike storage inside the property. If you require additional space we have a second property 2 mins walk away, sleeping up to 8 guests (Gethin Lodge).
