Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Messalonskee Lake

Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

Corey’s place was perfect for our long Memorial Day weekend in Farmington! He was very responsive to messages. The house was clean and decorated with adorable Maine memorabilia. We would definitely stay at Corey’s again!

Amazing place, host was super kind and accommodated my family’s last minute booking since we were cancelled on twice that week! We are super happy we found this adorable beautiful place that ended up being better than the other places would have been anyway!

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

Great rental property in a great place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We unexpectedly had beautiful cloudless days most of the week. Great location & easy to get to the Harbor and Southport both of which we enjoyed! Recommend the Carriage House for a really top quality meal as well as Blue Moon Cafe (good lobster roll) which was one of Shirin’s recommendations. Would totally stay here again!!

We had an amazing time. TJ was very responsive and gave his secrets for fishing! He also accommodated a request that was an overlook on my part. I can’t say enough good things about the place itself or how nice TJ was. It was a phenomenal experience all around!

This was my 5th time going there and I love it! The house is so cozy & very clean. The property is large and the view is breathtaking over looking the river. They are also pet friendly so we were able to take our Lhasa Apso Revy on vacation with us. Besides how great this Air BnB is, my favorite is the hosts Kent & Tish! They are wonderful people. They are kind & friendly, & have such beautiful souls. They have become family to me! I highly recommend getting this air bnb!! Thank you again Tish & Kent! Cute place! I enjoyed my stay. The hot tub was hot when I arrived, which I didn’t expect but highly appreciated!

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! Jean’s place was amazing, and she was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect for us! The king size bed was so comfortable, and everything was just as described. The location on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Jean and Bob very generous and let us use their whole property including wonderful swings to rest on and lake kayaks and a paddle boat! We were scouting out places to buy near Winthrop, and Jean had some great advice and was super helpful! We will be back!

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

This was my second time staying at Terrill’s place and it was just as lovely as I remembered! It’s such a peaceful place, surrounded by natural beauty, to relax and unwind. I’ll definitely be back again!

We had an excellent stay. The view of the river from the dining table was beautiful. Sitting out by the fire relaxing was great. We enjoyed sitting on the small bench at the river while our pup ran around us. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Looking forward to booking again. Jon and Teresa are excellent hosts. Very responsive and have the cabin very well stocked and immaculate.

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! Connor, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. You can count on us to be back in the future! Thank you!

We loved staying at the cabin! It was 2 adults and one infant, and we had plenty of space to setup a pack n play for the baby to sleep. It was very clean, even for such an old cabin. The heat worked good since it was still cold in April. Lisa came over to introduce herself and asked if we needed anything, super friendly. It’s perfect for a short stay with a small family/couple. Just remember to bring your own towels :) The front porch with the rocking chairs is awesome as well. We will stay here again the next time we are in the Skowhegan area!

What an amazing hosts! When i check in they both came and visited and gave me a grand tour of things of the place. Showed where the lake was to kayak, recommended places to eat, and visited. Michael was quick to respond making sure i was doing great. I would totally go back and rent their place again! Thank you so much!

Elizabeth was amazing to deal with & very quick to reply whenever I had a question or issue. The cabin was cosey but very adequate for what we needed. I loved the location in a beautiful leafy quite and private setting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Trailside Cabin.
