Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street. 　When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. There are glass doors in the living room that allow you to see the courtyard. 　The building is only for guests to stay in through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary house, but once you step inside, it has a different atmosphere that leads to the charm of the accommodation. If you ask, the owner has always liked gardening and has a wide range of hobbies. However, as mentioned at the beginning, he didn't intend to start an inn, so there are no baths, but there is no major concern as the surrounding inns can be used as an external bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor has two adjoining Japanese-style rooms that serve as bedrooms, allowing up to 6 people to stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

Loved it! For people staying in the Tearoom, beware, the door is low! I’m 175 cm and I bumped my head quite a few times on the doorframe 😂 But the room’s ceiling was a good height, so I could stand up straight in the room. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Clear instructions and amazing amenities. And Kumi answered my questions quickly. Thank you very much Kumi, I loved my stay!

Is a very new hostel, well maintained and an easy walk to the Peace Park, Peace Memorial and all of the shopping streets. Was kept very clean, with good kitchen and common areas. Bunks are roomy, plenty of showers and sinks, and a medium sized locker is provided for valuables. The only downside is that washrooms are 2 floors bellow, however at this price that is a non issue.

Great find on Airbnb. A very easy stay…wish I had been on a more relaxed time frame. A view from my room across to the Memorial Museum could not indicate more how good this location was. Easy bus access from outside the hotel to other major attractions. Friendly staff and very comfortable room. Good value for money. Would recommend and stay again should I visit Hiroshima again in the future. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax during the day and enjoy a bit of the night lights in the evening. My only criticism would be the unsuitable dance music for such a relaxed and well styled bar and lounge area. A lost opportunity to create a more sophisticated experience for guests. Otherwise 5* Thank you

The surroundings are perfect for a calm retreat, while also within walking distance to Tenjingawa (bus is also nearby). The bicycles were a great bonus and enabled us to visit Hiroshima perfectly! The accommodation was perfect for exploring Hiroshima: comfy bed, spotless bathroom & wc, even a small kitchen. There is a closet with hangers, a balcony and the aircon works fine - very important for the hot summers. It is easy to find and close to the bus stop connecting with the city, the peace museum and train station. There is also a washing machine inside the building. Hiroaki was the perfect host. He gave recommendations for the area and helped me with sending my suitcase to Tokyo and getting rid of an old suitcase. He really makes sure that you are having a good time in beautiful Hiroshima.
