Ogura is the descendant of a woodworker who lived with wood. Questioning modern housing that relies on 24-hour air conditioning for comfort, we created a space that feels like a wooden sunbeam, where you can feel the natural wind and sunlight while inside the house. While taking advantage of traditional Japanese carpentry techniques, you can stay comfortably without any inconvenience by incorporating modern facilities. On a dark night when you can see many stars, the sound of birds and the wind, and powdery snow that is so smooth that you can't make snowballs. Feel the magnificent nature of Minamiaizu with all five senses. There are few restaurants nearby that are open late, but the open kitchen is stocked with special cooking utensils, dishes, and basic condiments, so we recommend cooking for yourself.

There are rooms in which furniture will not open and close smoothly as well as many drafts. If you do not want to encounter insects or be in a dusty environment, you may want to avoid staying here. It is a home stay at a private house in a quiet residential area. An artist in her 60's and two cats live in a Japanses style house. You are wellcomed as a member of the family, so we can cook and chat together. If you like, I can help you with sightseeing, kimono dressing and instract creating Japanse Paper art. You can enjoy the snowy landscape and natural hot spring in Winter too. If you can cook together, breakfast will be served. I hope you can have an unique stay in Japan.
