The main house of Honu House is only available at certain times when the owners are traveling. It has two bedrooms which are identical master bedrooms. They are spacious and come with a toilet, two sinks each and a walk-in shower. On the main floor there is a large living and dining area and a full kitchen. We had a great stay, which we extended twice and were very sad to leave. The place and surrounding nature are very peaceful and inspiring, and the family was a great help throughout our entire stay. Big hug and thank you to Claudette and Kuya Abel! We loved waking up to all the different birdsongs, and learning about the mangroves along the river. The property had some creative quirks to it, we enjoyed admiring the design, natural materials, and the wonderful artwork created by the host. We wouldn't have changed a thing, and hope to return one day. PS we miss the cats and dogs! 🐕

The room was pristine and spotless, very roomy and relaxing. Everything that we need is already there. The hotel has an amazing view of the ocean. I will miss our room, I had the best sleep! Just to note that the hotel has a lot of stairs to climb and not recommended for seniors or persona with mobility issues. But all else our stay is perfect!

Miss Marylou’s transient room was clean, easy to find, accessible, and comfortable. I also appreciated the small touches, like the provided rubber house slippers and two pillows per bed. The WiFi was available and reliably strong. What stood out the most was how proactive and friendly the owners were. Leading up to our stay, they were polite, engaging, and accommodating. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the shower. The water pressure was weak, making it feel like showering under a light drizzle. I hope they can fix or upgrade it. That said, everything else was smooth and well-organized; it’s still deserving of a five-star rating!☺️
