This was our second time staying here and we still liked it just as much. The cabin is comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was very private and nice. We loved being able to bring our boat to go on the lake!

Had a wonderful family weekend at Mari-Jo’s place. Our 3 and 5 year old family members loved all of the available games and the play set out back. The grown-ups took full advantage of the hot tub. Even with a rainy weekend, we didn’t mind staying indoors and just enjoying the house. The only hiccup during our stay was a non-functioning AC. Mari-Jo was so responsive and quick to try to fix the situation. Even though the AC couldn’t be fixed before our stay ended, which resulted in some uncomfortably warm nights, Mari-Jo kindly offered a partial refund for the inconvenience. All in all, a great weekend! Would stay here again. 😊

3 BR Lakefront Cottage on Beautiful Lake Missaukee

What a wonderful lake home! I stayed here while attending a class near town. It ended up being too chilly to enjoy the wonderful beach, but the Michigan Fall sunrises and sunsets were breath taking. Check in and check out were a breeze. The home was a cozy up north cottage with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of amenities for families, such as a crib, bunk beds in one room, and plenty of space for kids to play. I hope to bring my family up next summer to get the full lake home experience! Carl is a great host and highly recommend!

If you're looking for a private, peaceful northern Michigan getaway, this is the place! Tucked away from noisy traffic and the hustle of the city, this cabin is truly a unique sliver of paradise in what feels like a nature preserve. We stayed for a weekend with our two children under two, and we definitely made family memories. The cabin is located on a private pond that has a beautiful teal color and a stillness that provided me a peace I haven't had in some time as a young busy mom. Our two year old loved the natural surroundings: we saw a family of deer, turtles sunbathing on the log in the pond, a turtle laying eggs, and a rabbit. In the morning and each time we'd return to the property, we'd challenge her to "find the turtles." She loved this game. The cabin is cozy, and the surroundings are so very quiet. I haven't slept this well in a very long time. Taylor is a proactive and responsive host. This place is a gem and a true experience for families. Thank you, Taylor!

Magical Family Vacation

The weather wasn’t great for our boating activities but we made the most of it and had some pretty funny moments in a rainstorm. Great neighbors, comfortable beds, excellent 4 seasons room, where we spent most of our time. We had a little trouble getting in but the host responded right away and the problem was my fault because I don’t read the correct code. Kids were happy because the internet was good. Overall a really nice place. The beach was fantastic.
