Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Moka District

Sheila was an exceptional host, friendly, always responsive to calls/texts and even went above and beyond to assist us during our stay (especially with her family for airport runs and car rental!!) Our lengthy stay was a home from home! We couldn’t thank her enough 🙏🏽 The place is a nice, big spacious apartment in the heart of rural Mauritius, small local shops close by - be prepared for some bugs in the evening, but friendly (and shy!) geckos, who actually help eat the bugs! Belle Mare beach (one of the best on the island) only 10 minutes away by car. La Riviere restaurant was also recommended by Shelia and is must to eat at, no need to make a reservation, you can just turn up! On our last day we also visited an island called Ile Aux Cerf which was a short drive and then boat ride away! Shelia also provided us with basic essentials: water, juice, sugar, cutlery, cleaning products and household basics. On top of all that she also provided a very useful welcome guide. Overall 10/

We had a very good family stay in this beautiful Mauritian house that was as described. The pool is not very large but is enough to cool off. The hosts were responsive when we needed them.

We had a pleasant stay at Marion's. The house is very comfortable with the pool right in front of the living room. 5 minutes by car from the sea, we enjoyed the pretty beaches of Flic en Flac, a boat trip to the island of Benitiers from Tamarin…. I would recommend this place to all guests.

Cleanliness, friendliness, etc. are all perfect! I asked to use the washing machine, but he listened happily! Perfect place to stay near the airport.

Fantastic location, directly on the beach, really quiet. House is decorated with taste and really feel comfortable. The pool is not too deep so rather safe. The beach is really quiet and nice. Swimming is easy and not deep for a long while. East coast is more exposed to wind but end of June we had pleasant weather every days, despite some occasional rain that never lasted long. Asmita the cleaning lady is really friendly but also knows to be discreet. She was really taking good care of the house and us. It’s a real plus to have her. A car is a must to quickly go around, shopping or for dinner. We hope to come back one day.

We had a great family stay at this villa( 8 people ). It is very well equipped, the kitchen is functional , the outdoor space with the living room is great and comfortable, the pool allows you to cool off and then not to mention the view of the dreary which is beautiful! Romain was very welcoming and very easy to communicate, he is very careful to ensure that the stay goes smoothly! Would highly recommend to you to book this home. PS: a barbecue was available and functional , we did not have a power outage during the 7 days .

An above all fantastic location. The property is right on a great beach that is not so crowded. The property itself is a large tropical garden. We were also thrilled with the fruits that were brought to our taste. The landlords Noele and Hugues are great, extremely friendly people who also speak German quite well. They live on the same property and are always on hand with advice. The house staff is also very friendly and helpful and cooks well! The house itself, as well as the furniture, is a little older but okay. One of the bedrooms does not have air conditioning. WIFI works well on the ground floor. Only 15 minutes drive from the airport. But you can hardly hear the planes. Overall, we felt very, very comfortable and will definitely come back.

We were two in the house for 14 days and enjoyed the stay very much. We liked the house itself, the huge great garden, the large pool, the location with a view of the sunset every evening, especially the warm contact with Andy and his family. They always responded immediately when we had questions and everything was answered promptly and solutions were found. It should also be mentioned that the house is equipped with a mosquito net and can be ventilated at any time. The rental car will find a parking space directly in front of the house. There are both Euro plugs available in addition to the usual UK sockets, so adapters are not necessarily needed, but Andy would have had them for us. Besley, who takes care of the house, pool and garden, and lives next door, was also always helpful. So for us everything was great and we can highly recommend the house and thank everyone involved for the beautiful time in Mauritius. Andrea and Rudolf

A nice and big studio with a great terrace. Very quiet yet centrally located. The beach and restaurants can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, if you want to go to other beaches, a scooter or car is recommended. The landlords are very comfortable. There is plenty of hot water, the kitchen is well equipped and the rooms can be darkened with curtains. The bed is comfortable, the AC cools down, although it is also a little louder. Earplugs can help. Everything is divided as shown in the pictures: a bathroom, a kitchen with seating, a bedroom and a living room with sofa and dining table.

what a gem of a place. easy parking, easy self access arrival. stunning beach right nearby. at the end of the flic en flac restaurant strip so perfect location really. perfectly serviceable supermarket with good opening hours in town too. ian answered all our questions and helped us out great!

Very good stay, the apartment was well located in relation to the beach of Le Morne (10 min by car) and the neighborhood was very quiet. Our children enjoyed the pool. Arwin was very responsive and accommodating, especially for the rental vehicle that we rented from him and that we were able to pick up and return to the airport.

The place is great. We're immersed in nature and with animals. The bedroom is great with a lovely balcony and super bright. Dean and Dorinne went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and are very kind. Thank you so much for these two days and happy hosting. Sofia

It is a little jewellery hidden in Vacoas. Nice fresh breeze coming through the windows and doors. Nice large apartment and balcony. Also it provides you with the real feel of Mauritian culture as the family lives around which means you are always attended to if needed. Thank you so much Raji for making this trip an amazing one.

The house was beautiful, they had everything . My kids loved it. There was camera outside and gate for security,value for money. I will surely come back.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Olivier’s place. The house is beautiful and has a very relaxing vibe. The house is also amazing for getting good pictures. The amenities were good and the caretaker Bella was very kind and helpful. Olivier is very responsive and has tastefully done the house. The Wi-Fi connection was quite good. I recommend it for coming to stay with your friends or family. A very private and secluded time with a Mountain View.
