Having just returned from Umbria I can honestly say that this is one of the best Airbnbs we have visited. From slippers to new candles, a welcome bottle of wine and beautiful fresh towels. The cottage was peaceful and looked out over the beautiful Umbrian hills. The gardener and housekeeper were super friendly and always in the background. The house was so clean and equipped with everything we needed. Communication was good and we felt so very welcome. I would highly recommend the cottage and Susannah was an amazing host!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending three unforgettable days at Paolo and Monica’s 800-year-old farmhouse — and it was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The home itself is stunning: full of history, character, and comfort, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Each morning, Paolo and Monica prepared a beautiful, fresh breakfast spread complete with homemade cakes and warm, delicious options that started our days off with so much care and joy. The hospitality was truly beyond compare — Paolo and Monica are salt-of-the-earth people with hearts of gold. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting with the many animals they lovingly care for. From eagles and owls to donkeys, horses, peacocks, ducks, and sheep — it felt like something out of a storybook. Monica’s passion for rescuing and training animals is inspiring, and added such a special, personal touch to the experience. Thier home is filled with beauty, warmth, and heart. Umbria gem. This place was beautiful, clean, comfortable and peaceful. highly recommend it for an Italy getaway we will be back. Gabriele was a kind and welcoming host.

Staying in Paolo’s beautiful AirBnB was definitely a highlight of our vacation! The apartment was spotless and well equipped, but it was the rooftop terrace with its sublime views that made it extra special. We had coffee and local pastries there every morning, and a glass of wine there every evening! Though the apartment was beautiful, what made our stay the most memorable was the warmth and generosity of our host. Paolo not only went out of his way to pick us up at the train station in Foligno, he drove us all the way to Assisi for our departing train. In between he was always friendly and available to respond any questions or needs we had. We couldn’t have had a better five days in Spello. Thanks Paolo!

Everything is really perfect. Beautiful house, surrounded by greenery. Sabrina is also very helpful in providing information about the city of Gubbio. Very clean house.

We absolutely loved our stay! The road to it is indeed a challenge, as correctly indicated in the listing. We do not have a 4x4, but a higher car, and took the longer route to the house. That took us a little extra time with each move, but we had that for it. The tranquility and the view are priceless. The cottage is sufficiently well equipped, we didn't miss anything. There was also great service included: in the middle of our stay, the house was cleaned for us and we got fresh sheets and towels. Also, the pool is cleaned and refilled 2 times a week. Manager Matteo was easily accessible for each question. As far as we are concerned, definitely repeatable!

The host went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure every detail of our stay was just right. The house itself is immaculate — spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and filled with charming touches that reflect the Tuscan countryside. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable, from the cozy linens to the spacious layout that gave us plenty of room to relax and unwind. Every corner of the home felt intentional and inviting. We especially loved waking up to the peaceful surroundings. It truly felt like a retreat. If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing, and comfortable escape in Tuscany with a host who truly cares, Podere le Corticelle is the place. We can’t wait to return.

We had the most wonderful time at Marina's. The home is really special, with a beautiful history...we felt right at home. Every room has a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. It was a very special holiday for us, our first with our six month old, and Marina made it particularly beautiful and memorable. We really hope to come back again.
