We have just returned froma fabulous 2 weeks stay in this casa. We were met on arrival by our hosts Carlos and Edla who are both charming and very helpful. They also introduced us to José who lives locally and manages any issues with property - he couldn't have been more helpful! He even took me on a tour of the local area on the first morning so I would know my way around! Make sure to check you have your email of directions before you arrive as we used the sat nave to get to the place and then realised we were just in a region and needed more specific detail! Our hosts kindly had a bottle of water for our arrival and fresh flowers in all the rooms. The casa is charming and traditional rather than modern and was very clean. It has two air conditionning units which were able to cool the whole villa despite an exceptional heatwave (although initially we hd to run them aroundthe clock). There was adequate bed linen, indoor towels and kitchen linen. The beds were firm, perhaps not to everyones taste. The bedrooms were fresh and had loads of space and having 2 bathrooms was very practical. There was no bath if that is important to you. The kitchen had all ameneties-we especially enjoyed making our own orange juice with the electric juicer and also juicing some fresh lemons from the garden. The outdoor space was great-plenty of choice of shaded or sunny seating and dining areas and of course the huge pool. The pool is completely private, surrounded by trees but not shaded. It was kept very clean. There were discrete visits from the gardener every couple of days but ge came early and was gone before 9. He even washed our car for us on 2 occasions! Thanks! And he also left us large supplies of salad vegetables freshly picked a number if times. There is no grassy garden area but our boys had enough space to play boules and knock a light ball back and forward on the large patio area. Mostly they were in the pool. We brought our own pool towels as they are not provided. There was an outbuilding with a washing machine but the water is very ferrous and would stain white clothing (after I learnt the hard way, I rinsed essentials in the shower, then in swimming pool before drying). Perhaps the locals know how to get around this. We found plenty to do in the local area but would say a car is essential. We walked out to a local tavern a couple of times but restaurants were a drive away. We would recommend Montemor castle, Évora, Escoural caves, Quinta de Plansel vineyard and an especial hit with our boys was the zoo Monte Salvagem. If you are lucky enough to be there during any local Festa they are worth a visit! We had a marvellous time, and would be very happy tore...

The Estate is magnificent... The Fauna and Flora, WOW! Much better than in the description. The decor is simple but typical of an Alentejo house. Amazing place for kids. José is a super Host! I recommend it and will be back soon.

very nice quiet and zen

The location and the house are lovely. Once you get Your head round that the house is old, the electricity can be weak and that the house could do with some bits and bobs done, you can have a great time, relax and enjoy the magical place Alentejo is! We loved it!

It was a great stay! Five stars, very quiet, stylish apartment, beautiful landscape, we love the horses and dogs. Service (vegetables, eggs etc.) was wonderful too. Thanks a lot, Celine, Angélica and husband!

We spent the weekend as a couple to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was spectacular. We were totally alone, it was peaceful! In fact, we were not totally alone, we had the company of Léon, Nogai, Tom and Sintra - 4 super friendly, playful and very protective dogs of the guests. In addition to a small farm with chickens and 1 peacock, the horses are very beautiful. I would like to highlight the Coco burrito, which is also very docile! Grace welcomed us very well. Our privacy has always been preserved! We loved the pool and the dining area! The decoration is fantastic and we were curious about the possible projects to be carried out with the marble bathtubs! We liked the fact that the "kitchen" was well equipped and allowed us to cook some meals! We adore and recommend! Thank you very much for the experience, which I believe will not be the only one!

Beautiful place - peaceful and amazing 😻

Mr. Jerónimo is an impeccable, super friendly and accessible host, having always been available! The outer area is wonderful and super comfortable, both for the conviviality and to relax by nature. The interior space has recently been remodeled, with all amenities required. We'll be back for sure!

I was once again well received by Grace, who proves to always be attentive, helpful and available to help with anything. Including cooking good dishes! Grateful for Rita's attention and availability, which is very communicative and concerned about guests. Celine's estate is a true haven of peace, with a natural beauty that conveys enormous sensations of calmness and lightness. It is always a pleasure to be in the company of the farm animals and to be able to interact with everyone. I'll come back a third time🤍

Spent the weekend with some friends at Casa do Monte and the experience was great. The house is charming and the surrounding very peaceful. Great to disconnect from work. Diogo was also very nice and communicative. Will definetly recommend and consider for other occasions.

Celine's place was a really special treat. Very private and somewhat remote, but at the same time located near numerous beautiful and interesting towns. The house itself is super comfortable and was perfect for our party of four to use as a base camp for exploring. The on-site host (Grace) was super helpful and very accommodating. She delivered a magnificent continental breakfast the first morning of our stay (one of several options Celine/Rita offered). It was really a treat! The surrounding property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. We highly recommend Celine's place if you are looking for an "off-the-beaten-path" experience.

Herdade da Saudade is a beautiful place where time stands still. We stayed there for two days with our two young children and everything was perfect. We loved the tranquility, the proximity to the animals, the fruit picking in the morning in the large garden and the pool. The employees of the were at our disposal throughout the stay, thank you for everything! We were sad to leave, we would highly recommend! A nice hello to Sintra from the children who fell in love with her ❤️
