1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Overlooking the ‘Gulf of St Vincent’ witness stunning sunrises & watch the ever-changing tide ebb & flow. Try your luck raking for crabs or take a bike ride to nearby Price using the dedicated track. A paradise for bird watchers & the perfect place to relaxing & unwind. Alternatively, Clinton makes a great base for exploring the Yorke Peninsula or Clare Valley wine region.

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood and surrounded by other quality homes, this recently refurbished home is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, close to Splash Town and local cafes. There is plenty of off street parking and also vehicle access to the fully enclosed backyard for a boat or caravan. A boat ramp, golf courses, beaches and jetties are all close by. Come relax and enjoy all Moonta Bay has to offer.

Maldon - perfectly located beach town cottage

Maldon is one of Wallaroo's old lime stone & granite cottages. A privately owned cottage so centerally located you can leave your car and walk to almost everything & has just undergone a total revitalization right through out in refeashing and family friendly decor. The back yard bosts has an awesome Alfrasco BBQ area nestled amongst the old stone fence and paved with old red bricks where you can comfortably seat 10 secluded in the large fully lawned surrounds. Many extras at no extra cost.

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

No roads between the property and the beach with convenient stairway access to beach at the front. Neighbouring property, Sandcastles 2 Moonta Bay may also be of interest depending on availability and your group size. Note, a security camera at Sandcastles 1 shed monitors the rear of property where property is entered and rubbish bins are stored for security.

The 1862 waterfront Heritage listed Wallaroo Customs House is now available for you to experience, recently renovated and restored. Spacious living areas inside and out providing: three comfortable queen bedrooms, with ocean views, a stylish new kitchen with ocean views, and two beautiful heritage styled bathrooms.
