Family-friendly holiday rentals in Moray Firth

We stayed at Mackenzie House as part of a Hen weekend. The house was amazing and exactly what we needed! The surrounding area was gorgeous and we all loved being surrounded by the deer and other wildlife!

Kristy’s place was great. Had everything we needed. Comfortable, quiet, kitchen was complete. Hot tub was very nice!! Kristy met us at check in and it simple and straightforward. Would be delighted to be there again!

Fantastisk omgivning och rymligt, vackert och praktiskt hus med en personlig touch. Roliga sällskapsspel. Allt du behövde i köket och i övrigt fanns. Bra förvaring om du stannar längre. Tydliga och enkla instruktioner. Mycket sköna sängar (!).

Wonderful accommodation and hosts. The location and views are amazing, the house itself has a great layout with loads of space and very homely. The garden is brilliant, especially for children and the hot tub went down a treat. Alan and family were very welcoming and gave some nice personal touches which were greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

The wee love nest was so cosy and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is like nothing I've seen before! Just such a beautiful place to be and nice little walks in the surrounding area. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to chat to! 100% will be back in the future!

I had an amazing stay!The place was stunning,extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful with breathtaking views. All the amenities were exactly as described, and everything was clean and comfortable. The small town nearby (just a 10-minute drive) was charming and convenient for anything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

A truly magical place, our five days spent here was the highlight of our travels so far. Peaceful, serene, cozy and warm. The only downside to staying here was that it had to end. We hope to come back soon, before we head home for good, as an assured nest of relaxation and birdsong before the long flight home. The owner Janet is very lovely and helpful too, you will be in good hands.

We loved the location and the views were exceptional. The accommodation was clean and very well prepared for our visit. Given our limited mobility we were offered the accommodation nearest the car park, an example of how thoughtful the host is. It would have been nice to meet the hist as she definitely had a sense of humour in our communication. Thank you Julie.

Toms place was amazing, perfect for what we needed, beautiful property and peaceful. Tom was a great host if anything was needed tom was there to answer. Would absolutely recommend Toms place, if we where in the area again I would not hesitate to book again. Beautiful home. What absolutely blew us away was the views of Loch Ness. Photos don’t do it justice!

We had a wonderful stay at Bluefolds for my Dad's 70th. The view from the property is spectacular and ever changing, and you'd never get bored of that alone! Sue was a wonderful host, very welcoming and proactive. The accommodation has everything you could need for a stay there. Take your walking boots, make sure your pets are treated for ticks (as its on a sheep farm), and have an incredible time :)

What an absolute gem! We absolutely loved our stay at Hazel’s Airbnb. The attention to detail, stunning interior design, and beautiful personal touches made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Communication with Hazel was first class, prompt, friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect, peaceful and scenic, yet just a short drive from Inverness. If you have a rental car or your own vehicle, don’t even think about staying anywhere else! It was the ideal base to explore the Highlands while enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. An all-round awesome stay. Thank you, Hazel, we hope to return!

A lovely stay at Blaeberry Cottage. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay, very well equipped and very clean. A lovely garden for the dog to roam around. Would definitely recommend!

beautiful place. very spacious for us, a family of four. (we only ended up using 2 of the 5 bedrooms!) great location to explore the surroundings including loch morlich and cairngorm. kids loved exploring the garden and we found it great for our needs.

We had an amazing experience at this place. We were a family of two adults and two teenagers visiting Scotland. We stayed at the Fort Augustus Abbey for 7 nights to explore the Highland, lakes and islands. The apartment was large and very comfortable, inside an old abbey and its huge park, facing a large green field. The location is truly exceptional, directly on the banks of the Loch Ness, close to all facilities. Most of the apartment looked very recently renovated. The furniture and beds were great. The kitchen table and the living area furniture were clearly used but not at all worn out. There were some stains on the carpet but nothing bothersome. The apartment was very comfortable with a huge dining table, lots of space, two full bathrooms, very comfortable kitchen area, etc. The abbey was great overall, a very nice park for walking or just sitting around, table tennis, open-air chess, swimming pool, etc. By far our best Airbnb experience. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it!

The staff on site and host were very responsive in all the messages. I love taking an evening walk around the lake where it’s peaceful and quiet. Thank you so much for hosting us.

A cosy lodge in a beautiful part of Scotland. Plenty of space and the extra facilities in the games room and pool were great additions. It is in a remote location which may take adjusting to. The beds were comfortable, kitchen and appliances decent. Would happily stay here again.

Another wonderful stay here. Cozy, comfortable caravan with a beautiful, peaceful view. Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy sofas, helpful hosts. Perfect for watching the world go by outside. Can't wait to return next year!

Great visit, accommodations were nice and rooms were clean. Our kids loved playing by the river and walking the trails. We had several lovely meals, especially enjoyed the boathouse restaurant nearby. We had an unexpected late arrival and the host helped us check in remotely without a hitch.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der alten Abtei sehr geliebt - wir haben uns ein bisschen gefühlt wie Harry Potter in Hogwarts. Die Wohnung war sauber, gute ausgestattet und sehr geräumig. Die Außenanlage der Abtei ist ein Traum und der Pool ganz wunderbar!

Fantastic place. We stayed at Cottage 9. We had been to Highland club many times but this is the first time at the cottage. It is well worth it. Very private entrance and whole stay was very comfortable for four of us. Apartment was clean and well appointed. Car parking available next to the cottage.
