What a lovely airbnb in a stunning peaceful location. Definitely recommend!!

We loved our stay at Melissa’s. It is a modern and very pretty house. It is immaculately presented and extremely comfortable. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. Melissa has tried to think of everything. I have multiple back fractures and found the sofa extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the surrounds and the beach just across the road.

Great location located between cairns and port Douglas. Extremely quiet and private. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Two things were a little unfortunate: There was no signal at all. We wouldn’t even be able to call emergency services. Which was very annoying for us as we needed to do find out some things about a 12 hour road closure which occurred on of the days we were there. Which leads me two the second thing. There was the Ironman in cairns which meant the main road between cairns and port Douglas was closed. And this is the only road to get away or back to this Airbnb. Of course this is not Ange‘s fault we would have appreciated it if she told us about this issue a little bit earlier so we could‘ve planned accordingly. Which meant we had to get up very early to „escape“ to Port Douglas so we could do the things we wanted to do as the road block already was in effect at 5:30 am. Nevertheless we really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home.

Wow! What a stunning place! From the moment of booking we were so excited to stay here as the photos were beautiful and reviews so positive. And we were not disappointed! Clean, with every you could think of or need, it ticks all of the boxes. Definitely recommended and we will be hoping to stay here once again when we come back to Cairns sometime in the future.

Wow. What a magical experience to be able to have to opportunity to stay at such a beautiful location. My Partner and myself have always wanted to buy property in this area and staying here has really amplified that dream. Everything about this property is amazing and I would not change a thing 🙌 🙏. The complimenty beer and wine was great, the house was amazing, the best views I've experienced at an air bnb, the customer service was friendly and welcoming. Everything was neat and tidy, the house was spotless and so clean, The serenity was on point everything was perfect. To whom reads this trust me this place will not disappoint and will exceed expectations. Thank you Jason and Chika for providing us this experience and being such amazing hosts.

Our stay was absolutely perfect — a truly unique experience! You feel like you’re sleeping right in the middle of the rainforest, yet the house is modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Everything was spotless and very well equipped. The layout of the house is also something special: it consists of two separate sections connected by an enclosed walkway, which still feels private and very thoughtfully designed. You can really tell how much care and attention went into making the space feel cozy and welcoming. The hosts live next door in a separate house where the pool is located, which guests are welcome to use. The hosts were very friendly and respectful, and overall we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

David has a piece of paradise, and we’re lucky to be able to experience it! We stayed here as a group of six and found it to be a beautiful, peaceful retreat and the perfect launchpad for exploring the Daintree, Mossman Gorge, and Port Douglas. Stargazing on a clear night, hearing (and spotting!) the huge variety of birds on the property, and scouting for the local platypus in the nearby creek will be my fondest memories of our stay. David’s an ideal host. He proactively communicates, anticipates guests’ needs, and is always available for help or advice if needed. We had problems with water at the house when we arrived, and David went to extraordinary lengths to get everything resolved for us. Read the listing carefully. David's provided all the necessary details to evaluate if the property is a good fit for you. It's charming and nothing like what you'd experience at the name brand resorts in PD, which is a positive depending on what you're looking for. Thank you for having us!
