Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hotham Heights

We stayed at Falls Creek during the Easter break, and had a fantastic family holiday. The apartment is part of the QT resort, and beautifully styled, impeccably clean and very well located to access the village and surrounding hills. Kate and Anna went out of their way to ensure our arrival / check-in was seamless, and ensured we had a great stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back next Easter!!

This place was amazing; the best air BNB we have ever been too. The place felt magical. The gardens were beautiful, the cottage was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with recommendations of where to hike as that's why we took the trip. We loved the log fire and spa bath. The location far exceeded our expectations. The walks were great and we preferred Harrietville to Bright. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back next year. Thank you John and Anne for creating Shady Brook.

We loved our stay! Very easy with kids in ski season as the lifts that take you to ski school are at the front of complex! The apartment was very clean and Kate’s communication was quick and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Linda’s Fall Creek apartment was fantastic and very well priced for on snow - Falls is our new Snow Paradise. Apartment was everything we expected. We had 5 but could easily take 6 very comfortably. Bus pick up right out front to get you to the lifts or Pub. Kitchen was great to use but eat out options galore. Heating room if fantastic as it’s first and last place you go through , in and out , very well set up. Beds worked well for our group of 5 but would only suit one more. Wash/Dryer was not very user friendly for us. Found it hard to do small quick wash cycles.But we got by doing overnight washing. Shower was awkward to use for some as it’s over a spa.( spa not functional for our group) and the floor stays wet from over spray as a result. But was still ok with us. Only small draw back for us was only one toilet. All in all it’s still 9 from 10 for us so much so we booked again next year. Lindy responsiveness is 10/10 Thanks Lindy See you in 2024 🏂

We (10 ladies on a ski trip!) had a fantastic 3 nights at the Recovery Room. It was a great place to come home to at the end of some big days on the slopes and the perfect place to watch the Mighty Matilda’s make history! Woo! The house was clean, well set up and really close to the bus stop, pub etc. Nicki was helpful, responsive and friendly - Thank you so much !

A gorgeous property in the most serene gardens. Very quiet location , yet brilliantly located to Harrietville township and easy access to walking trails. The cottage was warm and cosy on one of the coldest weekends at this time of year. Very comfortable and everything we needed. Recommended!!

Go to Bright in the Autumn! This region is just spectacular. This home was comfortable, clean with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Lots of natural light and thoughtfully planned amenities. Spa jets in the bath! Our little dogs loved sleeping in front of the wood fire. This place would be perfect for a family group in snow season too.

Such a beautiful place - serene and quiet, well designed - we were only 2 so had our choice of bedroom! Each had its own unique character. The fireplace, lounge and kitchen on the ground floor were perfect - we had everything we needed to make a Christmas dinner. Shower was hot and lovely. Stunning views over the fields, wonderful birds came to visit. Kathy was welcoming and friendly and super helpful. Would 100% stay again. Thank you

What superb accommodation in every way! The spotless presentation, beautiful and high quality amenities, attention to detail evident in so many different aspects of the offering, and the delightful setting all contributed to a first class experience at Arnica Cottage. Our two dogs were equally impressed - we’re sure 😜 - and enjoyed the large back garden and spacious verandah also provided with this lovely property. Emma was courteous and caring in her correspondence too and the provision of some delicious cookies and locally produced olive oil as gifts on arrival an extra treat! We loved our stay in Harrietville which has heaps to offer and would happily recommend this stunning, cosy, attractive cottage as somewhere absolutely perfect to stay!

9 days of the most beautiful, peaceful environment… and slow time. Utterly therapeutic. Made thoroughly welcome from the day we arrived… Cath, who looks after and hosts the farm, was warm, informative and untiringly helpful! Having the pristine Bundara River running right along a boundary provided for fly fishing opportunities and long walks with our pair of labradors… the puppy even learned to swim while we were there! The rustic hut had all that was needed for a simple, comfortable stay, with a deck where we could watch the foals race and listen to the water running from the dam. Looking forward to our return visit!

We spent a very relaxing week at the Willows. Cathy was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome at the property. Was very cold for us Queenslanders but the morning frost was beautiful and reading by the fire inside was lovely. Lots of creatures to see, particularly enjoyed all the birdlife in the trees around the hut, wallabies, and horses on the property and the brumbies across the creek. We loved the rustic cabin - a little time out from the mod cons of life is always good for the soul. We hope to make it back one day!

Lovely homer with old world charm. Very cozy with fire place and Air Con Really enjoyed the step back in time reminded me of times spent at grandparents farm house. Had to enjoy a bath in the amazing claw foot bath so luxurious.

Small hiccup at check in. Our booking followed another booking and the information given to the cleaner showed a continuation of the first booking. So needless to say the house wasn't cleaned when we turned up. This was quickly rectified by the cleaner and several other neighbours who all turned up on short notice and cleaned the house. Communication with the owner was quickly responded to, even though the owner was overseas. Lovely place and would recommend it for large families or groups looking for a base to go skiing or riding the local trails / road's.

Excellent value for money. Pleasant stay in the heart of Falls Creek. Spacious for 6 guests. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Great place, peaceful, felt like home, everything worked well, backyard with the view to the fields and mountains, lots of space. Highly recommend.

We loved our holiday in the Red Onion. It had all you could possibly want for a fabulous ski holiday. The chalet was thoughtfully equipped with all the basics plus so many wonderful extras, which made for a delightful stay (laundry powder, herbs and spices, huge range of books and entertainment). Di and George were wonderful hosts who gave us clear and easy to follow instructions with thoughtful local information and welcoming treats too. We would definitely like to return to the charming Red Onion in the future.

We had an amazing stay at Les Chalets The place was beautifully maintained, clean, and comfortable. Nina is a nice person, instructed everything clearly and explained about everything.The location was ideal, with stunning views. We highly recommend this appartments to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay. Nina truly made our stay special.

We stayed three nights at Hannah and Scott’s Alpina 2 apartment The place was very modern and clean, the kitchen had all possible amenities. Bright and light environment. Hannah and Scott were easily contacted and helpful. Falls creek is a beautiful place.
