He spent three years restoring a beautiful ancient portuguese 1700's house which is now a lovely place to take a rest and enjoy the Island's life. The old water tank is now a salt water swimming pool surrounded by a relaxing garden. Fan, air conditioning, family rooms, suite with private garden and see view terrace. Breakfast included on see view terrace. Safety garage on request. Ilha is magic...but if you choose the right place to stay..it becomes perfect! Beautiful place, your bedroom and common place are really relaxing and pleasant, everything you need you have because Gabriele and the staff are really kind. You feel like home...probably better!;) very recommended!

Beautiful place in the middle of the island making it easy to get around to both ends of the island. Gabriele was super helpful by offering to arrange a driver to pickup from the airport, providing recommendations of places to eat and things to do. I was upgraded to the A/C room with private terrace which was beautiful and enjoyed a large spread for breakfast on the shared terrace each morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. After walking around the island I was able to come back to Gabriele's place and relax quietly to a book or take a swim in the pool to escape the heat. I would definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay. This is definitely a perfect spot for a relaxing beach holiday in Tofo. Perfect location, Nobina is an amazing host and her restaurant downstairs is delicious and such a good vibe. Beautiful aesthetics. The spot is a minute walk to the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. We loved our time and definitely plan to return!! Thank you Nobina for all your recommendations and amazing hospitality.

I had booked another place (further away) and everyone told me to change for a place in the center of Tofo. I couldn’t be happier for the decision. Sumi is a a cozy, safe and clean surprise! The room was just as shown in the photos, the restaurant was as good as every review said and the location is absolutely perfect. Things that are less than a 1 min walk away: -Beach -Main Market -Restaurant’s street -Diving centers Things that are less than a 2 minute walk away: -Chapa’s pickup/arrival stop -Pharmacy (simple, but existent) -Mini-Grocery store “Mr.Fresh” -The Ocean I can’t stress how good the location is. If you like being close to everything to maximize your useful time, book this place. Also, the nice breakfast is handy, served on their cozy rooftop bar (where you’ll feel at home after a beach day). The staff was TOP and both owners are very friendly people, helped us when one of us got sick (go for the Miso soup) and put us in touch with a ride when we needed to leave🙃

It's a easy 5 star review at Gabrielle's place and I loved it. I actually made a mistake and found out the next day that the booking was wrongly made for the day before. He let me stay the night even tho it was my mistake. that was really nice. everything is clean, the place is beautiful and the balcony for breakfast os the best with sea view. I would recommend that anytime again and again
