Duplex attached to our house! Safe Memphis suburb!

Private outdoor entrance. There is no access from the main house to the duplex and vice versa. It’s completely private with no shared spaces. This cozy duplex has a living room with kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom and is attached to our house. (See picture of house in our listing.) Sleeps 2 adults, and up to 2 small children. We don’t accept guests from Memphis and don’t feel our property is right for romantic getaways considering we live next door and have kids and dogs.

I am so glad that I found Leenie and the Cottage in the Woods. It was the perfect space for me while in the area for continuing education classes. After a long day in class, I really wanted a "home" to return to vs a hotel like I usually get when traveling for CEU's. The Cottage in the Woods on a beautiful 6 acres and couldn't have been more perfect. When I arrived Leenie met me to show me around and she had thought of everything. The space was beautiful, clean and cozy and she was so kind and considerate throughout my entire stay even offering fresh veggies from their garden. I truly enjoyed my time here and if and when I find myself back in the area, I know where I will be staying. It truly felt like I was going to stay with family. Thank you Leenie for you incredible hospitality.

Larry was very accommodating with my 81 year old father. My father was moving from Memphis to Tipton County and had a week before his new apartment. Family didn’t have a space in our homes due to stairs, so we reserved Larry’s apartment. It was perfect. My father enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings and the ease in which he could move from room to room with his “Rollator.” If we have family or friends who come for a visit, we would definitely recommend Larry’s space. Larry and Phyllis were very kind.

The place is exactly like the pictures. The welcome bag of snacks left for us was so thoughtful!. Well Stocked with toiletries and basic need items. The area is peaceful, quaint, and lovely. Many restaurants to choose from, and alot of little shops, all within walking distance. We never moved our vehicle from arrival to departure. Very impressed with how clean the floors are in the apartment. They pass the white sock test! We were very appreciative of Dennis being flexible with our checkout needs. Had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience during our brief stay at the Bunkhouse and there was plenty of room for my family of four. We felt truly welcomed onto the property and the atmosphere was peaceful and had a secure feeling of an area where people still leave their doors unlocked, which is something you’ll never find at any of the hotels in Memphis. We’re already looking forward to staying again when we pass through in a couple years.

Natalie was very accommodating and communicated greatly. She responds very quickly. The house is in a convenient location and very beautiful. The interior decoration says cozy and that is the perfect word. The yard is huge and perfect for kids.
