Holiday rentals with lake access in Munising Township

Beautiful house, extra amenities not listed in description. The beds were super comfortable, plush towels, kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans. Modern appliances and lots of space. We had a beautiful fire one evening. Would have gone kayaking but wasn't sure we would be able to get out of them w/o tipping over into the water. Lol. (There isnt a beach.) It was lovely looking out over the river. We enjoyed waking to the birds and watching the mist rise over the river. Unfortunately, "they" were tearing up the road to repave it when we arrived, so it wasn't the peaceful environment we were looking for. It was loud and so disruptive, the whole house would shake, and this went on over several days. Not much the hostess can do about that, of course, but very disappointing as my sister is recuperating from a serious illness. All in all, we would probably rent again if the need ever arose as the house and being on the river was beautiful.

This is an incredible place. Peaceful, with beautiful views of Lake Superior, and the feeling that you have a quiet space to yourself, but with plenty of restaurants, cafes and things to do within ten minutes. I hope to make it back here again!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage! Everything was just as mentioned and Pam even went above and beyond to give us some information about local things in the area. Having access to Lake Superior was a plus! We will be back to stay for our annual sister trip! Thank you again for such an amazing stay!

We had a great stay in AuTrain on our last night the water went out but they brought us over water for toilets and took care of us regardless. Enjoyed our stay!

This is a charming place right on the lake. Great location for kids (shallow and gradual water depth in the lake). It can be difficult to find, so map it out ahead of time. Get gas at the nearest town before attempting to find it. The outside furniture is dated and could use an upgrade. The all weather outdoor cushions should probably be put away and brought out per use (so they stay nice). A propane fireplace on the deck would be a step up. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I hope to bring my family here again. There are other neighbors and houses next door to this place. I was unaware of this when booking. It wasn't an issue. but if you are expecting complete solitude-keep in mind that you will have neighbors. There is only one bathroom and the shower head pressure is weak. We love our showers, so we were a little bit dissapointed with that. Great location and a wonderful array of water toys (SUP boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and skif).

A Dream Getaway at Britta's Lakefront Cabin! We had the most incredible stay at Britta’s cabin on the lake in the Upper Peninsula! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and breathtaking views of the lake. The cabin itself is beautifully designed and spacious made it feel like a home away from home Britta was an exceptional host—she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Communication was seamless from the start, and she provided us with helpful recommendations. She clearly cares about her guests and has thought of every detail to make the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a relaxing, picturesque retreat with a perfect balance of nature and comfort, this cabin is the place to be. We’re already planning our next visit and can't wait to return to Britta’s beautiful lakeside escape! Highly recommend!

Everything was absolutely amazing. They were flexible, accommodating, and understanding. The place is absolutely beautiful, just don’t forget to pack a sweatshirt as it gets a bit chillier than we expected at night. Great place to stay and hoping to go back soon!

I have stayed here before back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. The size was nice and everyone was easy to work with. For the cost, this is comparable to a hotel with much less room. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks...

What a wonderful weekend we had in Marquette celebrating my son's NMU graduation with family. This unique home feels inviting, warm and cozy and the location and setting are absolutely gorgeous offering stunning water views of Lake Superior. We were fortunate to see an eagle too. The privacy it offers was peaceful and the special lookout viewing areas to enjoy the lake were well planned as well as the relaxing sauna, indoor & outdoor gathering areas, wildlife including birds & squirrels, a pond and the beach & rock formations as well. Located a short drive to town and in close proximity to the great hiking areas and water falls too. The host was lovely, very responsive, and informative. Our family so enjoyed this special home and our visit to Marquette and many cherished memories were made!

Mary Beth and her husband were VERY friendly yet not intrusive. Everyone we talked to on Beaver Island were friendly, helpful and informative. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We ate every meal at the apartment and never felt like something was missing or needed. My sister in law slept in the bedroom and said the bed was comfortable. I slept on the couch and it too was comfortable. Lastly, it was nice to not have a long list of ‘to do‘s’ before checking out! We would book again without hesitation!

This apartment had room to spare! It was well-stocked, very clean, and was filled with sunlight. What struck us the first time we entered, and each time afterwards, was just how roomy the apartment was. The 10-foot ceilings only added to the feeling of spaciousness. And since we were there after the busiest part of the season, it was also blessedly quiet. The attached deck was a bonus that offered a beautiful view of the harbor.

This place was amazing! Right by the action but still felt private. It has everything you need for a great stay. The hosts were responsive kind and flexible with us. Couldn’t have been better!!!

We had a comfortable two night stay in this spacious apartment at the Beach Inn Motel. Everything was clean and bright and the host offered that we could partake in the continental breakfast and enjoy the grounds right on the Munising Bay. There was a little bit of pass through noise from the lobby below but it didn't bother us. A great place to land during our trip to the UP!

We had a great time at the rental. The hosts were more than accommodating for our family and the rental had everything we needed for our baby, high chair and toys galore! It made the trip easy and fun for everyone.

We had a great time in Pete's house at the lake. You directly have the feeling that Pete is also using the house himself, so the house is very well equipped. Navigation leads you to a place a bit off of the actual location. But with Pete's instructions, it was no problem.

Our family had a wonderful short stay in this beautiful cottage. It had the vibe of a modern home, but was very cozy. We felt right at home. The beach was just a short walk away, and although it was a bit cold to spend much time down there, this would be a PERFECT place for a summer getaway. Casandra was very responsive and provided clear instructions. We definitely recommend this spot!

It was a very nice and quiet place to relax after a day of sight seeing. I wanted a place near the water and the deck was the perfect place to do that. It was really nice to have a fully outfitted kitchen. We hope to visit again soon.

This place is REMOTE, peaceful and quiet. The house was extremely clean and well organized. Its nice to see a full kitchen of everything needed, including spices! Loved the view of the lake.

For a quick weekend getaway- this is the place! Super easy to get to right from the ferry and still private. The yard is spacious and right off the shore. The dogs loved swimming and all of us loved sitting along the fire to watch the sunset. The place was clean and Shelly was great! Can’t recommend enough

Overall a great stay. Convenient location to downtown. Had everything we needed. Fireplace and heated floor in living room were nice features on cold winter nights. Odd configuration for bedrooms, walking through one to get to the other. We’re family so it was fine but if we weren’t, could be a bit awkward. Loved the lake view! Neighborhood was quiet.. would recommend.

Myself, my husband, and one other friend stayed at Patrick's beach house for three nights over Memorial Day weekend. We cannot recommend his place enough! The house is so charming and full of so many fun details. It's cozy and inviting from the moment you walk in. You cannot beat the location as well. Words cannot describe the view! It's right on a big sandy beach, and watching the sunset every night over the lake was heavenly. We felt so spoiled! Patrick was super friendly and responsive to any questions we had. He was in regular contact with us on the way to the house to help with directions. He met us there and gave us a helpful tour and a walk around the property. There happened to be an issue with the oven that the repairman would not be able to fix for a few days. It was no problem at all for us, but he even offered to warm up food at his house and bring it over. We thought that was such an incredibly kind gesture for him to go out of his way for his guests. 10/10 A MUST STAY!
