Family-friendly holiday rentals in Murray River

The whole experience was fantastic. Very rustic and comfortable accommodation. Loved the quiet and serenity of the property. Everything you needed was there (except milk) and the shower/bath may be a challenge if you are anyway limited with mobility. Loved the wildlife. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, peaceful surrounds. Wonderful for kids, so much space to play and explore. East trip into Alexandra for groceries, coffee and delicious food at the Corner Hotel. So cosy with thr fireplace and electric blankets for winter. Would definitely love to visit again 🎉

Great location for exploring the mountains.

Donna's place was a really clean and presentable property with everything you will need. Great for families and is set up well for children. I had a couple of oldies with me so privacy was great with separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was obviously a decision to reduce soft furnishings for cleaning purposes, eg rugs, etc but that impacted the warm cosy feeling needed in Autumn. We found the AC challenging but no matter... we coped. I really loved the front gardens with fragrant roses. Thank you Donna!

Had the most relaxing stay at Airbnb Lady Marmalade. James house exudes a delightful atmosphere, in a quiet neighbourhood featuring soft lighting, cosy central heating system, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. I also found the record collection was a nostalgic trip down memory lane by the wooden pot belly to be particularly enjoyable.

We loved the authenticity and ambience of the cottage and the peaceful surrounds. For those who live a nice open wood fire this is a perfect spot. All close to beautiful sites, especially Yackandandah and Beechworth.

This cabin is a real gem. Genuine peace and quiet, a true escape from humanity, exactly what I was after. Right on the river, I sat down on the perfectly located seat and listened to the rushing water for hours. It was clean, exactly as described and there is no doubt I will be back again someday. Great place for a nice relaxing weekend away! Beautiful warm cozy home with toasty fire places to keep the place warm, big yard for the dogs to explore and plenty of art for the baby to look at. Kate was very easy to communicate with and very proactive with information about checking in/out and things to do near by. Will definitely look to stay here again!

Belinda was really accomodating and friendly! Gave us great recommendations and was really flexible for what we needed. Beautiful space in a peaceful little town. Perfect for a weekend away!

I have to say, Jo's communication was as good as I've experienced from an AirBnB host. Excellent information (especially how to find the entrance) great messages checking with us, and even an offer of a late check out. A+ The accommodation was just wonderful, super comfortable bed, the wood fire was already lit for us, and the shower magnificent. We'd happily recommend and would stay there again.

Cute bungalow with a pretty complete kitchen. Very quiet location and the property is beautiful. Loved the fire - made the evenings toasty warm. Please note that the location is about 40-45mins from Myrtleford, and 55mins to Bright so a bit further than in description. But we still loved our stay.

What a beautiful weekend away in the tranquil walnut farm groves of the apline region - with birds-sheep-cattle-foxes to keep us company- and our dog could run around and enjoy life while the fire kept us toasty warm. Ronaldo has completely undersold this place as a gem for the region - will visit again

My partner and I were very happy here. The cottage is comfortable with lots of space. The amenities are great and everything is clean and tidy. It’s a pretty area too - great for morning coffees. Despite being in a rural location, the place is fairly accessible and easy to locate. The driveway is a little rough for small or low cars, but it’s not a major issue. Overall a great stay!

A beautiful spot in a peaceful pocket of forest. Next to main road between Trentham and Daylesford. Warm and cozy cottage. Plenty of fire supplies. Warm cozy bed. Electric blanket and wall heater. Walk in storage room in the bedroom is great for longer stays. A peaceful outlook through ceiling to floor glass plus roll down blinds. Wifi included but note no access to movies, Netflix and no dvd player. Every thing else is just perfect for short term stays. Beautiful space!

We had a beautiful stay at Chelsie’s Airbnb. Our kids had a ball, the house is so family friendly. There was lots to do and walking distance to main town. We appreciate all Chelsie’s help and she offered us a flexible, late check out which was nice with kids. We will definitely be back! xx

We absolutely loved the cottage, breakfast staples and the little extra treats left for us. Very pretty, even though it was cold and wintery you could tell the gardens will be stunning come spring. Thank you Peter and Jamie for welcoming us to your home 💜

What a great place to stay. Old, but clean and specious with everything you would want including home grown tomatoes and homemade fig jam. the gardens, unfortunately affected by the drought, are great. We would have loved to see them in their full glory. The owners were great also and promptly top us up with a couple of items we were running out of. We would certainly stay again.

Wonderful winter stay at Upper Lurg. 3 couples could not have loved the house more on a cold weekend. Facilities and space were amazing with everything you could need. The pool looked a bit cool at 7 degrees but we could see outdoor summer entertaining being amazing, the spaces, the outdoor cooking area all looked amazing, was ready to crank up the pizza oven. If only the chickens were laying eggs. The location was amazing for the King Valley Wineries. Easy drive to all the Valley. Will plan another visit.

Really nice place, incredibly comfortable bed and great range of pillows for people like me finicky about pillows. As we were there in the dead of winter, a very effective heater was also a pleasure to get back to. Veronica’s home-made muesli was a great treat too and it was a pleasure meeting her. Definitely would stay again.

We had a great stay at Tanglewood, we were visiting family on the area. Lovely place well kitted out very peaceful and tranquil and a good size. Roslyn is lovely and a great host. We would definitely recommend and return

Eric couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. Their starter kitchen breakfast was perfect and delicious. The house was spotlessly clean, and the bedding extremely comfortable. We’d flown over from Scotland, so comfort was important. I would highly recommend staying here.
