A very quiet peaceful stay. The fishing was enjoyable

This home was the perfect home base for my friend's bachelor weekend. The home was spacious, with a huge kitchen perfect for cooking breakfast for 9 guys. Everything was just as the listing and pictures described. The backyard was amazing - very private and great for a bonfire. The rooms offered plenty of space to relax sleep, with ample floor space for a few extra air mattresses. The best part was the location - only a 15 minute walk from two beautiful lake michigan beaches. Brian was very quick to respond to any inquiries I had, and you can tell they take care of the home. I would 100% book again!

We were 3 60+y.o. women, and what I'm about to say might not be a concern for anyone else. There were 3 lovely bedroom spaces and 2 nice bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and both bathrooms were on the main floor. The other 2 bedrooms, one was upstairs and the other downstairs. We had been under the impression the bathrooms would be more accessible to the other 2 bedrooms. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Kitchen was well-equipped! And it was around the corner from our favorite breakfast joint Lakeside Cafe!

The house and the town are lovely. We had an amazing girls' trip, the view was amazing.

We loved everything about Jamie’s place! It’s clean, bright and just so cute, and it has everything you could ever need in a home away from home. We’ve stayed in a few local Airbnbs and this one has been our favorite by far. We hope to return!

What a fantastic place to vacation! We stayed with our three young kiddos and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We borrowed Lynelle's bikes and enjoyed a few rides around the neighborhood and even to the beach! It really is a great location-- especially for families; it's in close proximity to the beach, lighthouse, playground, Frosty Cove, and The Deck (best restaurant in the area). Less time spent driving, means more time spent making memories as a family. :) We played, explored and dined all day, and then returned back to the house to relax and take in the beautiful view out the front windows. We would love to make a return trip here in the future!

Great location & Airbnb. Felt like home, and had everything I needed. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc but not in the middle of a busy area. Will be back!

We had a wonderful weekend at Joshua and Elizabeth’s place! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and smelled fresh and new as soon as we walked in. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into every detail to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The muffins from the local bakery were such a thoughtful and delicious touch — we truly appreciated them! Thank you for providing such a perfect space for our stay. We would love to come back!

Great stay overall! Only complaints I have is the showerhead was super low. When they remodeled the place they could have moved those up pretty easily. There’s no games to play and it didn’t really have a home feel to it. Felt more like a hotel. Other than that it was clean and worked perfect for us for our two day stay. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there longer than that with two kids though lol. Would stay here again though.

Craig and Starrlynn are outstanding hosts! This is a gorgeous property and a well-done major reno. The new decor is modern, cohesive and elegant. I’m so happy we were able to stay here and can’t wait to return! Thank you Craig and Starrlynn!

Had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to book again in the future. The room was very clean and cozy, the communication from Sally and Becky was great and they were very accommodating! When you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stay here!

Very well put together stylistically. An old motel turned into this quant beautiful room. Clean. A little tight for a family of four, luckily our kids are young and don’t take up much room! I would definitely stay again even knowing this. Super easy. Show up put in the code and get in your room. The grassy area our front is very pretty.

The Getaway was a beautiful space to host our writer’s retreat. I loved that the space wasn’t cluttered. It was very clean and comfortable. It’s about 15 minutes, from restaurants and grocery stores. I definitely recommend this space.

The Getaway was a perfect place to stay for a business trip with a colleague. That fact that we had separate rooms with our own AC units was great so we could sleep comfortably. The beds were amazing, and everything worked and was clean. The location was nice and peaceful and close enough to everything so we could get to our work site and grab dinner in the evenings. The hosts were ultra fast to respond to any communication and were genuinely nice. This is a fantastic place to stay!

Very clean and tidy. Sally was so nice and helpful. We were in town for a family wedding and she was very accommodating.

If you're looking for a great spot to land, right on the water, and near some great bites and excellent things to do...book NOW! Austin is an excellent host. This unique AirBnb is situated in the renovated living quarters of the innkeeper at the Weathervane Inn. It's off to the side and feels private, and you have your own private exterior entrance. There is a door that enters into the Inn (tucked away behind the inn front desk). This came in clutch when I forgot my toothpaste and was able to pop over to the Inn and ask for some. Guests here can also enjoy the complementary continental breakfast! The road in front of the Inn is fairly busy, but not overwhelmingly so. The area is very walkable, and we took our dogs and family to both Montague and White Hall by foot. So fun! Lots of great little restaurants and spots (definitely drop into the Book Nook and Java shop). We drove to Silverlake on one of the days (30 minutes away). BEAUTIFUL state park and dunes.

We loved our stay- the view was even better than what I had seen in the photos. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very private while also being very close to anything you might need. Cottage was well furnished and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked- I had everything I needed to make several meals. We loved the porch, great shade for the warmer days and you can’t beat the lake view. We also had several deer visit- a couple even curled up in the back yard for a nap. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lake getaway with a true cottage vibe.

Arthur's lake cottage was the perfect getaway for making memories with the grandparents. From the moment we arrived, Arthur made us feel like old friends. The home, though older, was well-equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Everything was spotless, and the beds and furniture were incredibly comfortable. The cottage offered stunning views and excellent amenities. We enjoyed days on the water with the canoe, rowboat, and kayaks, while our child had a blast on the swings. The sandy beach with chairs was ideal for relaxing. Evenings were spent fishing and watching breathtaking sunsets. The location is also convenient—just a short drive to town for groceries or a treat at the local ice cream shop. Highly recommend for a relaxing and memorable stay!

Great little getaway in the middle of the country! The house was perfect for our little getaway. If you have a small family, this place is perfect for you!

Our stay at Awesome Lake Michigan Cottage was great! The views and beach access were amazing. Note to others though, the steps down were steep and there were about 50 of them, so if you are limited in ability, take caution. The decks both provided amazing views though, if you just plan on staying up top. The inside was great. Comfortable bed (only stayed on the King) and everything was clean and tidy. The bathrooms were small and right next to each other, but we had no issues with them as there were only 2 of us. If you plan on making any meals, note that the kitchen was stocked with cooking pots and pans but there were no pantry staples other than a small salt and pepper shaker. The house was close to town while also feeling secluded as it is tucked in between Lake Michigan and a Dune preserve. Overall, our stay was amazing and we would highly recommend staying here!

By far one of the best spots in walking distance to the beach and The Deck. Modern, clean, bright & airy, and the living room and kitchen feel much larger in person. Kids loved the double bunk beds (no fights about who got the top)! Our host Julie was very responsive and went above & beyond to ensure we had the best experience… she even had new ground coffee and filters delivered within the hour when I wrote to tell her in the morning that there weren’t any coffee filters. Five stars for host etiquette!

The property had the lakeshore charm with an absolutely beautiful view! The beach was unbeatable, with soft sand and gorgeous sunsets. The cottage was clean and quaint, perfect for 3 or 4 people, and served our needs well. The cottages are a tad close together, which could potentially be loud if they are all full, but we had no problems with neighbors, noise, or traffic. We'd definitely stay here again to enjoy the beach in the summer.
