Go to the mountains and highlands during the day, and the tranquility of Satoyama at night. This is a rental cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and a starry sky. As a base for sightseeing in Azumino and Hakuba and Kamikochi, you can stay comfortably from one night to consecutive nights. Access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama Kurobe is also good, making it possible for group trips, family trips, and long-term stays.There is a washing machine and dryer, and it is comfortable for consecutive nights. You can also come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off is available at Shinano Matsukawa Station and Meisha Station.Other transfers and sightseeing transfers are available for ¥2,000 to ¥8,000 (return) within 2 hours one-way.For more than 5 people, please consult in advance to accommodate car rental. Kiso Valley, Nagano Prefecture | A quiet, privately rented accommodation built in 1931

Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo, it has a historic townscape that has flourished as a production area for Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been designated as a Jūdenden Kenpon Zone and still has lacquerware shops lining the streets. Our house is available for rent as a whole, limited to one group per day, without meals. It takes a little time to get around, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in this area, but I think that's why this place has quietness and the beauty of casual, simple everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay as if you were living in this good old town, reading, taking walks, enjoying local drinks (sake, wine), sleeping in and waking up slowly. It is an old house in a mountain valley, and there are no screen doors, so in the warm season, wildlife may come in. The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail. We are preparing to welcome you with the house as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with an open mind. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

Capsule House-K, a monumental capsule house in nature designed by Kisho Kurokawa

CAPUSULE HOUSE-K is a private house designed by Kisho Kurokawa. It was created based on the concepts of Metabolism and Homo Mobius. This building is composed of the same capsules as the Chugin Capsule Tower Building, which is also a metabolism building, and was completed in 1973, the year after the building was completed. Until now, it has been open only to a few people and was a little-known building, but in 2019, the restoration was started by Kisho Kurokawa's son, and now it is open to the public with the interior of that time.
