Our cottage sleeps 5-6 and is nestled in the Cotswold escarpment below Rodborough Common with over 300 acres of open countryside giving dramatic views over Stroud and the Severn Vale. Off the beaten track but only a short walk to Stroud. A great place to stay anytime of the year but with a woodburner it is very cosy in the winter. Only 1.5hrs by train from London. Loads of good walks nearby inc Cotswold Way. Short drives to Bristol, Cirencester, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Highchair,cot, stairgate available.

The open plan ground floor looks across the hosts cottage garden, has many original features including a traditional stone fireplace with wood burner, exposed beams and feature walls. A unique one bedroom detached stone cottage built in 1807, with far reaching views over the historic village of Avening to Gatcombe Wood. The recently refurbished house, with log burning stove, south facing lounge/kitchen/dining room, bedroom, en-suite and dry stone walled courtyard garden, will provide a cosy retreat. The cottage is available with a super king size bed. Alternatively, twin beds with prior notice. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, hob, oven, dishwasher and microwave.

Downstairs, well equipped kitchen-diner, shower room/toilet. 10-15min walk to Nailsworth centre with many eateries. Unfortunately unsuitable for those with mobility issues due to stairs/low pitched ceiling.
