We had a wonderful stay and experience. Yuri’s place was clean, comfortable and spacious for us as a couple. There’s also a designated parking spot for our car. The view from the balcony was perfect for morning coffee. A stones throw from the beach and a short walk to Cape Maeda and Blue cave. The Italian place next door was great for dinner as well. There’s a small mom and pop store 3min walk away with the kindest old man.

wonderful and friendly hosts with clear instructions on how to access the property, generous with their time and emotional energy. they sent extra photos showing how to park which was invaluable! they left a little gift basket of cookies to nibble on which my wife loved. they also recommended a yomitan cafe and it was fantastic. mimi would occasionally check in that we were having a good time and we always were! reminded me of staying with a nice aunt :) you cannot beat the location, as you walk down stairs and onto the sand of the beach. it feels more wild, quiet and lived in than a hyper-western and expensive resort, which was exactly what we wanted--a local beachy experience. go swimming at high tide within the reef and you will see lots of grazing parrotfish and butterflyfish--please be respectful to the local wildlife, the coral, and hakas! eddie and mimi have a bin of gear you are free to use, although i brought my own prescription goggles which let me see the fish even better.

We have stayed here twice and have loved it both times! The host is responsive and helpful, the location just can't be beat, the price is good, and the space is very comfortable. There is a partial ocean view out the bedroom window and the seawall across the street is a few seconds walk. The kitchen is stocked enough to make a meal, the washer is so convenient to have, the shower/ bathtub is very large, the furniture is quite comfortable for Japan, and it's got really comfortable beds. There is a free parking space included, which was really nice. I also love the nostalgic 60's beach vibe of the decor and apartment in general. We have a wonderful stay again this time around and will happily be looking to stay again when we visit Okinawa in the future.

My original booking was cancelled and we decided to book this place. What a blessing in disguise! This location was amazing. The cleanliness and spaciousness was unmatched. The house is stand-alone and within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and the Miyagi Coast. Those sleeping in the downstairs tatami room may find the street noise insulation inadequate (cars clunk a metal grate and conversations from walkers are easy to hear), but those sensitive to loud noises in general should avoid staying around Kadena Air Force Base, as the jets are very loud. Because the tatami mats are quite thin, double-stacking could support two single-sized beds. The bathroom is traditional in that it's a fully-tiled single room with bathtub and shower and easily-produced mold/marks on caulk due to this; if that irks you, you might prefer a hotel. The half-bath is adequate and was well-stocked with tp. The washing machine and dryer worked, a handful of towels were available, and the kitchen had silverware and paper towels as well as a microwave, coffee maker, large fridge/freezer, etc. We recommended this place to others after our stay, overall! A good deal!

This is the first time I've seen a place that's better than the photos! As soon as I entered, I was surprised to see the accommodation, bedding, and tableware so neatly arranged:) The house structure is so pretty and you paid a lot of attention to it. I felt it:) It looked great for traveling with kids! I felt like they were really concerned about the cleanliness. I had a happy trip in a clean and pretty house😊 Thank you ^ ^

It was a five day trip in Okinawa. 6 adults plus one toddler. The location was perfect. 1 min walk to seashore. 5 mins drive to American village. We rented two cars, one seven seater and one five seater. The house have enough space to park both. The house was very clean with sufficient amount of utensils and basic necessities. If you need to cook here, may need to buy some oil and seasoning. The whole family love the interior design and the overall settings. Host's response was quick. Nothing to complain and highly recommended for a group of seven or below.

The house was a pictured. It was a nice open layout with a full kitchen and washer/ dryer. It was about 10 minute walk to the beach. There was a grocery store and food within 5 minute walk. Having the patio area and barbecue was a plus.

It was the best place to stay for a family trip with an 18-month-old baby. It's easy to find, clean, and has all the amenities for babies. The American Village can be reached on foot, so I was able to eat baby food comfortably and my mom and dad have a beer. There is also a convenience store right next door, so it was very convenient.
