The Boys' Place.

The space is a newly renovated, tastefully decorated, one bedroom basement area, in a 1927 character home. Complete with all modern appliances, as well as some antiques added to enhance its charm. The ceiling is 6 '4" ( 1.93M) so if you play basketball this may not be a good match for you. Very centrally located on a quiet street, 2 blocks from the seawall and marina, walking distance to DT shopping, restaurants, pubs, Art Gallery, Port Theater, etc. 1 block to bus stop, 2 min. drive to ferry.

One of our recent guests described our home perfectly 'Wellness Retreat fused with Country Cottage'. You have our complete upper floor, private staircase and balcony to watch boats, sealions, eagles and, maybe an orca or two! High bank waterfront, sorry no children 6 or under. South facing, sheltered from most of the wind, walk-on oceanfront in the city! Large deck, Solarium, Hot-tub, Kayaks and stunning views (Brandon Islands, Newcastle Island Provincial Park, Birds, Seals, Otters, Boats, Fisheries Canada docks). Swim, Paddle board, Kayak, Beach comb, Picnic or just relax - beside the salt water and a patch of old forest. Nanaimo is centrally located, permitting day trips to Vancover, Victoria and even Tofino. Luke (myself) reside in the suite.

Old City Quarter Miners Cottage

Private small one bedroom miners cottage in quite downtown neighborhood. Close to many amenities, VIU & hospital. Easy walk to the seawall, shopping and many restaurants. The cottage is set in a lovely garden with seating under the gazeboor under the grape arbor. Both hosts John and Marc are artists and have a small show room on the property that we a happy to open if our guests have a desire to see more of our art. Sorry we are unable to accept same day guests.

This is a peaceful space to call your own while staying in the Harbour City. We are 5 minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal, one block from the Nanaimo Hospital and a short drive to downtown. The suite was designed to create a peaceful, bright and open setting where you can enjoy our backyard & the the koi pond while being separate for your own privacy. We offer on site parking, wifi, cable, and a small coffee/tea & snack package to enjoy during your stay.
