‘The Cottage’ - A leafy retreat

ColinRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This is an absolute gem hidden amongst the trees of Cockatoo. A beautiful wood cottage nestled in the woods, so spacious, well appointed, airy, lots of light, great in any season. Quiet but at the appropriate time, you could watch and take great pictures of the famous Puffing Billy railway making its way past Felder Station which is just a short walk away. This is a great place to make as Headquarters for exploring the Dandenong and Yarra Valley regions. We spent three nights there and it was too soon. Kane and Brook are terrific hosts and made us feel at home with little kind touches, greeting us on arrival and made us feel right at home. This is a place not to be missed. Well done and thank you so much!

The Phoenix

We loved staying at Lisa’s place! The cottage is on a nice quiet street, with a parking space provided. Lisa is an amazing host and was so friendly and helpful, providing fresh fire wood as we used it over our stay. Bathroom was in particular amazing, with a beautiful deep bath! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Breadshed

I stayed at the barn in Cockatoo for some much-needed rest and relaxation, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The setting is absolutely stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and with breathtaking views that make it easy to unwind. The barn itself is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully furnished, with unique character and charm that make it feel really special. I especially loved cozying up by the fireplace and just soaking in the tranquility. Communication with the hosts was excellent—warm, responsive, and professional from start to finish. A truly rejuvenating and memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Fell Estate Cottage

Very comfortable. Enjoyed watching tv from the four poster bed, and from the spa. Also loved sitting out back watching sheep grazing. And the breakfast provided was fresh and very generous.

A lovely place to stay while exploring the Dandenong Ranges. Very comfortable bed and well equipped studio. We appreciated the Chrome cast and comfortable couch for some relaxation time. The studio is within a short driving distance to many of the areas attractions. We would definitely stay again!

Quintessential Mountain Refuge in the Dandenongs

My friends and I loved spending a weekend at Kris & Carlo's peaceful retreat! We snuggled up on the couch, looking out over the treetops and listening to our crackling fire. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the autumn colours! Comfortable beds and all the comforts of home.
