KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. You can rent the entire second floor of a newly built house in Nankoku City, next to Kochi City. It is a two family home and it is possible to go upstairs directly through the private door. This is a spacious room with 2LDK, 25 tsubo (80 square meters), and decor and lighting.There is also a distance from the neighbors, with a view of the fields from the window, so you can have a quiet and relaxing stay. Healing company's ceramic water purifier is installed with the original water supply.All water from the faucet (including the bath) is delicious to drink through the water purifier. 15-minute drive from Kochi Airport.It is very conveniently located 12 minutes from the high-speed entrance, the Tropical Interchange, and 5 minutes from the Takuki South Interchange. It is not far from Kochi city in about 15 minutes. It has good access to both east and west of Kochi Prefecture, making it the perfect base for sightseeing trips. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.
