Nostalgic stay as time stood still. Wake up, walk, eat, spa and repeat. Friendly neighbourhood and very understanding host. Enjoyed the simple breakfast and fresh air.

Really cool area with lots of history. Unfortunately it is kind of on the decline, lots of abandoned buildings. Really beautiful area and the hot springs is relaxing after a day of hiking. For parking, I wouldn’t drive up the hill, park at the bottom and walk up.

Everything is great, the quality of the bed is great, I slept in Taiwan for the first time:) very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing you can find fault with are shared toilets and showers for men and women, but there were no lines

I’d a spectacular stay at the Owl. This is my very first time staying in a capsule hotel in Taiwan, so kind of nervous and concerned abt the comfort and noise level over there. But all those concerns were immediately dismissed fr the warm welcome of their staffs and the cozy mini stage set up for the performers in the lobby. The staffs guided me thru the check in at the kiosk in step by step. I booked a single room with a King size bed. All capsules have its own digital key-lock, and very secured. The room is as photos and described. This single room has high ceiling allows anyone over 6.2ft to stand up straight and very quiet that you won’t be able to eavesdropping any conversation fr your neighbors. The shared public bathrooms are very clean and frequently inspected by their staffs for cleanliness. There’s also sharing space like kitchen for dining. The roof floor had an amazing view over the entire Sun Moon Lake. Not to mention, the distance fr the pier and downtown old streets is only a few minutes away. Very convenient. In an overall, I was highly satisfied. It’s a very pleasant stay to me and my fiancé, and will definitely pick the Owl Hotel again whenever my next visit to the Sun Moon Lake is.

It only takes a few minutes to walk from the train station, and it is undoubtedly a good place to stay for friends who want to go to the scenic area of Sun Moon Lake.There are many historical streets near the station, so it is convenient to go around, but it is far from attractions such as the airport and fresh water.Overall, it's still a very good youth hostel ~

great hosts in the Hostel. They sell tickets for bike & kayak rental which I would recommend. Great open areas, very chilled. Shared bathrooms & pods are clean. I stayed for 3 nights. Would highly recommend.

Rooms and bathrooms are clean!But the more unfortunate thing is that our bed faces the display light, and the curtain will let light through, so I feel that the shadows affect sleep a little too much😭. I notified the host, and the host also apologized and said that the bed will be adjusted later.I think the whole experience is pretty good!

Fantastic Stay at Deer Traveler Hostel! I had a wonderful stay at Deer Traveler Hostel in Sun Moon Lake! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the lake, bus stop, and many local attractions. The hostel is modern, stylish, and impeccably clean, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always offering great recommendations on places to visit and things to do. The common areas are well-designed, making it easy to relax and meet fellow travelers. The beds are comfortable, with privacy curtains and individual lights, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Everything about this hostel exceeded my expectations. If you’re visiting Sun Moon Lake, Deer Traveler Hostel is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended!
