Vurevure Homestay

MariaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This home stay was the best home stay I’ve ever stayed in I would recommend 100%. Living really in Fijian village everyone was so welcoming and nice, they went out of there way to make us feel at home. The activities they offer were authentic and very interactive. We really felt part of the village once we left, first time for us to get such an authentic experience in a home stay. Also the dive sites of rainbow reef and the white wall 30 minutes dive away and the village can arrange transport very easily. Their cooking was very tasty! Real fijian food, from the farm! Also the reef in the bay in front of the village was breathtaking it is an untouched paradise here! Suggestion: buy anything you want from the store before getting here, it’s a far away paradise! The bus stop is by the village, very easy, just say Vure Vure village! They were waiting for us there! Our hosts were truly amazing.

JayDees Home Retreat

The stay with Mila went well for us. Mila's family is extremely kind and welcoming, the accommodation is very clean and the dinners are excellent. The family showed us their daily life, we were able to participate in some activities like crab hunting or coconut milk preparation. We were greeted with flower necklaces at the airport and coconuts upon arrival as cocktails. The listing is new to Airbnb, so some improvements are needed, like mosquito screens or access to wifi permanently. Mila's family also offers to accompany their guests on tours of the island which is very convenient if you don't have any organized activities. We took advantage of it, but the prices remain quite high. There is also access to a paradisiacal beach a few minutes walk from the house. I would definitely recommend Mila's place and the vibe of this lovely family.

QAMEA Village Stay House- Experience the REAL Fiji

DavidRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This is our second time visiting Naiviivi village. Gary’s place is as advertised. It is not a resort but a place to truly experience Fijian village life firsthand. The people are warm and friendly and welcome you into their community. Their smiles and laughter are infectious. It’s a peaceful place to observe how a close knit village operates. The children are a special delight. The host Pa and his wife are some of the happiest souls you’ll ever encounter.

Qamea Island Escape

Lyn and Sete's place is amazing! The hosts are the most genuine, warm and kind hearted people i ever had the pleasure to meet! Their hospitality is top notch and they made me feel so welcome and at home. It felt like visiting good friends! I really enjoyed our many talks sitting out on the verandah and learnt a lot about what life is like in Fiji. Communication before arrival was excellent and Lyn informed me about everything I needed to know, from pick up to activities and the place itself. Everything was as described and better! The meals were delicious. This homestay is a true gem surrounded by magnificent, lush scenery and comes with it's own private beach! It's a nature lover's paradise and the best choice for someone who would like to detach and leave all the technology behind, enjoy the sound of the waves and many birds, explore the lush jungle or go snorkeling from the beautiful beach! Lyn & Sete are true super hosts! Thank you both for having me and hope to see you soon!

Ringgold isles Homestay

JustinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Vinaka, Willy for a wonderful stay! We had a great time! The location was excellent, such a beautiful part of the world. Welcome to campers paradise! This stay isn’t for everyone; you will be living in an ‘off grid’ bure, situated on the top of a cliff looking down on the local village. It’s set up on solar battery power with sufficient lights in the house and on the deck - bring a torch for the outdoors. Fresh rainwater a plenty, and a stove to boil your own drinking water if needed. Cold bucket showers to wash off the hot day and afternoons embracing the local way of life. Remember to bring plenty of the essentials you may need (mozzie spray, environmentally friendly soap, rain jacket for the boat ride etc) as this is as remote as it gets! Willy was a great host; very easy to communicate with prior to and very attentive throughout our stay. Willy ran some excellent activities like snorkelling near a sunken volcano and fishing for our dinner. Hope to be back soon, Meg and Justin

Jima's Home Retreat

SebastienRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay with Jima and his family. It's an authentic dive into Fijian life. The family does everything possible to make the stay as pleasant as possible by showing us that the essentials are enough for happiness. It is a return to the fundamentals and basics of life. Also, Sia's meals are delicious and we can organize activities for you. We felt like family members, and we also participated in some wild rugby games in the village. The expansion project is underway. I hope that life will bring us back there. We leave with our heads full of memories, with a special mention for Jima, which the children loved.

Two Bedroom Beachfront Bure Waruka Bay

LorraineRating, 5 stars74 months ago
We had a most adventurous, amazingly wonderful experience at Waruka Bay Resort, a small resort located on Quamea Island in Fiji. If your looking for a unique experience and if you love the outdoors, this is it. The resort is truly remote, located on an Island off Tuveuni. From the airport there you will be escorted to the resort via an open air boat. The resort accommodates 8-10 guests, hosted in 3 individual Bure's, each oceanfront. The resort runs on 96% solar energy, with only a few hours per week of generator use. It is truly an eco friendly environment. The food is organic, cooked by a most wonderful chef, Lusia. She is teaching her art of cooking to her nephew, Emori, who works with her at the restaurant. Lusia enjoys learning your likes and prepares stellar meals to your preferences of foods. Silio Leka (Kuko) is an aspiring Rugby player who will engage in some very fun and interesting conversation with you. Kayaks, Paddle Boards, and Snorkeling equipment are available at no added expense whenever you would like to venture out into the ocean, right out your front door. Should you want to go out fishing, there is a panga for hire. The entire staff is friendly and so mindful of what the guests might need to make their stay comfortable. The on-site owners Andrew and Rebecca, have supported the community by employing local residents. Along with many local villagers they have built the resort from the ground up using local wood, thatching, etc. They have supported the community by employing local residents. Andrew, Rebecca, Lusia, Emori, Kuko, Puamo, Thor, and everyone at Waruka Bay Resort, THANK YOU for your hospitality. For those searching for an adventurous experience, it doesn't get any better than this! Marty and Lorraine
