Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Nea Smyrni

I stayed with my wife and two daughters for 3 days, we felt as comfortable as if we were in our own home. There is a market on Saturdays, we shopped there. It's very close to the subway, within walking distance. If you want to be close to both the center of Athens and the beaches, this place is very successful in terms of location.

Giannis was the best host! Friendly, communicative and helpful, he provided lots of information and tips about the area and Athens. His love for the city and his home was really apparent. The house is quiet, clean and full of art and nice touches, he is obviously creative and it was refreshing to stay in a place with real character! The best thing was the view from the terraces, with the acropolis and city laid before you. Watching the sunset and the lights come on at night was a highlight of our trip! We loved the village feel of the location, walkable to the centre or an inexpensive taxi ride home up the hill. Thank you Giannis, you’re great :)

The host was very kind and helpful. Although the location of the house is not in the center, you can reach anywhere you want by public transportation.

Katerina’s place was very close to the park area near the acropolis as well as a few cafes slightly out of the crowded part of town. She was very responsive and was even able to let us check in early, which was a huge help. The slight problem with Wi-fi was far outweighed by her customer service. I would certainly stay with her again!

Communication was good (check-in was prompt, though needing to meet could complicate at times) - our case was fine! House was clean, spot on description-wise and offered all necessary amenities! Location is good - nothing special (that’s sth you already know when booking). The only small caveat might be a little bit of a smell (from not seeing much sun).

Everything was perfect! The room was as shown in the photos, clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would prefer it again without a second thought.

Roni is an amazing host. He contacted me before I arrived and gave clear instructions on how to self check in, and he didn't go to sleep before I entered. He took care of everything, was involved, and asked if anything was needed. The apartment is very clean, vast, and has everything you need. Loved it, and I will surely come back in the future! When I'm in Athens I always rent apartments from them. They are always good, clean and in good locations. I recommend them to everyone.

Great home I recommend

Have had a lovely stay at John’s flat in Kallithea. The flat is very close to bus stop going to center. You can even walk to center to explore more if the weather allows. Kallithea is a really good neighborhood, close to Nea Symrna too. Both appealing, nice and peaceful places that you would maybe not consider visiting as a tourist. But they definitely worth visiting. Flat was clean and well equipped. John was very responsive and helpful. Great stay over all.

Maria's penthouse flat is a gem. It was quiet. Location was very accessible with the metro close by. It's just a case of getting the metro from the airport directly (taking any metro on the metro platform which turns up seemed to do the trick). The terrace is lovely. The flat felt authentic and comfortable. There's plenty of nearby restaurants. I recommend the pancakes at The Place near the metro there. Also appreciated the air con in the flat. Thanks Maria for helping enrich my first impressions of Greece!

A lovely apartment - I really enjoyed the quiet afternoons spent on the balcony. Although it’s a bit far from the city center and main attractions, it’s very well connected with the metro just nearby. The surrounding neighborhood is absolutely charming, with kind people everywhere. I truly appreciated these gentle moments of connection with the local community during my trip. We felt very comfortable during our long term stay in Nea Smirni. Hosts were responsive and the quiet neighborhood allowed us to pretend we lived there. Apartment was comfortable with everything we needed. Supermarket very nearby, as well as other shopping and restaurants. Everything worked well in apartment: WiFi, laundry, TV, air conditioning, kitchen. The bed was good, and the linens were fresh and clean. I would recommend, especially if you’re in Athens for longer than a week. A bit out of the way, but easy to take taxis or public transport.

Perfect appartment for a family trip. It’s so easy to get to centre and the beaches, but lovely to not be in hubbub of a busy city. Wonderful (and very reasonably priced) restaurants nearby and a wonderful bakery round the corner.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb in Athens! From the moment we arrived, our host was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. She struck the perfect balance of being available whenever we needed help, yet always respecting our privacy, something we truly appreciated. The apartment itself was stunning, tastefully decorated, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was definitely the pool, which we had the pleasure of enjoying throughout our stay. It felt like our own little oasis in the city. Another thoughtful touch was the welcome basket, such attention to detail! It was clear that a lot of care and consideration went into making our stay special. And a special thank you to our host for being so patient and kind when we (more than once!) forgot our keys. She never made us feel like a burden and always helped with a smile. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t recommend it highly enough ❤️

This homestay is really wonderful! The environment is super nice and peaceful. It's very quiet and clean around. The rooms are decorated very warmly and the details are well taken care of, making people feel at home. The landlord was particularly friendly and helpful. The communication was smooth from the very beginning. During check-in, he was very considerate and introduced the nearby delicacies and scenic spots to us. It felt like we were being received by a friend. In conclusion, I highly recommend this place! If you come here for a trip or a short stay, it's really worth choosing this place. It has an extremely high cost performance and you will feel very comfortable staying here. I'm sure I will come again!

Finest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Actually, it's hard to compare with other Airbnbs because this was such a cut above. Views of the Acropolis from almost every part of the two story unit. 10 mins from the best dining and the Acropolis museum. Very private and safe even when entirely open to Athens as both floors open to the outside with extensive outdoor areas on both floors. Very, very clean, high end Euro design and top notch technology and everything easy to use. My family and I were blown away. Lastly we chose the daily breakfast delivery. Made the day start just right.

Hi, We stayed in Stavros' apartment from May 23 to 27 and we will have an excellent memory of it. The accommodation is impeccable: very clean, perfectly equipped, tastefully decorated and ideally located. It is only a 10-minute walk to the beach and the bus stop for the airport, which is very convenient. Even though we didn't have the opportunity to meet him in person, Stavros was extremely available throughout our stay. He made sure that everything went well to make us have a great trip, with remarkable attention and kindness. We recommend this accommodation 100% without hesitation, and will return with great pleasure!

Kostas is a great host, friendly and helpful. We had a great time during our stay, an amazing apartment with a great view, and a big balcony for cosy mornings and late nights. Great cosy place, feels like home. In a great location, whether you have your car, there are places to park around, also if you are on foot, the Metro station is nearby to move around. This is a beautiful apartment with awesome view of the sea. Very spacious living room and gorgeous balcony. The facilities are quite user friendly. We got everything we need for travel lodge. The location is close to the beach. Good place to talk a little walk. It's also a very nice neighborhood for quality dining and grocery shopping. Transportation is convenient. Take 10-15 minutes taxi drive to Akropoly and Piraeus habor. We would highly recommend this one!
