Beachfront holiday rental in Negombo

When we arrived at Janitha's villa , we were warmly greeted by his best friend , Jude , who looked after us throughout our stay , making sure we knew where places were & informing us of reasonable transport costs etc. The villa is located in a beautiful , quiet residential area where we were fortunate enough to observe many types of native wild life . Accessibility to the beach was approximately 10/15 minutes at a good walking pace but the nearest well stocked supermarket was approximately 30 minutes walk with empty bags , definitely tuk tuk on return journey with full bags ! The villa itself is as open & spacious as in the photos with mosquito nets provided in both bedrooms . Although we managed to prepare & serve a few meals in the kitchen , there could perhaps be additional utensils to make the job a little easier ( tin opener /few more sharp knives & maybe a chopping board & a sieve ). All in all , we were extremely impressed with the villa & the friendliness & helpfulness of Janitha's family & friends . We would have no hesitation in returning . Thankyou for a wonderful holiday . Gihan is a great host. His communication was spot on. Booked the place for couple days and had a great time. Everything on here is accurate. Place is very close to the beach and a 10 min drive or tuk tuk ride to the best hotels in colombo. Will stay again in the future and recommend to close friends.

Susila's place is perfect for group and couples stay , I loved very much her delicious breakfast , this place is so comfortable for our group , place is situated near to town it may helps a lot for our work .beach also very near to the property it takes only 5 minutes to reach to the beach . Susila helps to our work also , finally Susila is a nice host and the place also very beautiful and stylish , highly recommended this place for those who likes to visit Negombo , thanks again Susila for your kind hospitality .

Peter was an amazingly proactive and helpful host, more than happy to give help and advice and answer any questions. The apartment was just as described. Very comfortable with good facilities and a perfect mix of being on a relatively quiet street with sea views but so close to amenities and transport options.

Superb place. Had a great stay here. The hospitality was very warming. The security was excellent as well in the premises. The basic amenities like the grocery store, money exchange, restaurants are just on walking distance. I highly recommend this place to stay.

We just had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 nights over the Sri Lankan New Year. The staff on site were wonderfully attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fresh juice, fruit, toast and eggs. We opted to eat dinner there too and it was also excellent- grilled fish and curry. Good value as well. The kids loved the pool while my wife enjoyed being away from the more touristy areas, but only a short tuk tuk ride from supermarket, coffee shop and gym. Would definitely recommend for a few days relaxation! The staff also went above and beyond when my wife forgot some medicine- one jumped on a bus for 2 hours to bring it to her! Fantastic all round!

We had an amazing stay. The views surrounding the house and the interiors of the house were absolutely stunning. Every part of the house was so thoughtfully designed and decorated. The best part of the stay was the delicious vegetarian food which we throughly enjoyed. Sam, Sandun and team were extremely hospitable, warm and helpful. We look forward to staying at the BNB again very soon :)

Vi skulle bruge lejligheden til overnatning inden hjemrejse. Hvilket den var rigtig fin til. Dejlig beliggenhed i forhold til lufthavnen, vores husvært var behjælpelig med at arrangere taxa. Smuk udsigt, gode spisesteder i nærheden.

We had a fantastic time at the appartement. The Caretaker as well as Prajot been super helpful and always been reachable for us. The location of the place is perfect starts with going out for food or shopping as well as the fantastic view. We loved being able to use the spacious and clean pool as Colombo gets really hot during the day. Everything has been absolutely great for us and we would surely stay here again.

Die Unterkunft war ideal für uns geeignet. 4 Freunde die kurz nach der Ankunft in Sri Lanka entspannen wollen bevor wir ins Landesinnere gehen. Nur Liegestühle haben uns gefehlt, ansonsten top!

We had a great time and Chathu was very responsive and helpful in his communication. The pool was nice, the Fitness room a little limited in its equipment but great to have something at all! The neighborhood is nice to arrive at or leave from Sri Lanka and the room feels very luxurious for local standards. It was a energizing stay before our trip back to Germany.

Felt at home as we came. The caretaker and his wife was very kind and helpful. We have been in this villa before so we had a great experience last time as well hence we decided to come again with our parents. Place is very spacious with a lovely view of the pool, some greenery and the beach. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to go on a small vacay not too far from Colombo and enjoy with family and friends.

Just what we needed for our week-long workation during a visa run! The apartment had everything: well-equipped kitchen, comfy bed, good shower, and plenty of space for yoga. The table and couch made working easy, and the balcony was perfect for sunset views. For us, the biggest plus were the strong Wifi and the big enough pool for swim training. And being right at the beach in a great location just made it even better. Would definitely stay again!

Our family of 8 had the most incredible time staying at Upul's beautiful beach house in Negombo. The property is stunning, located just a few meters away from the beach, offering breathtaking views and easy access to the shore. It’s hard to believe such a gem is so unbelievably affordable! The house itself is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a family getaway. A special mention to the caretaker—she is one of the sweetest and most hospitable people we've ever met. The meals she prepared were absolutely delicious and added so much warmth to our experience. Upul, the host, was incredibly accommodating and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the experience even better. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations and left us with cherished memories. I was privileged to have stayed at 7 Amber as it brought back nostalgic memories of my childhood. The welcome Ravi and Rohini gave me was warm, friendly and typical of Sri Lankan hospitality. On arrival, I found food in the fridge to keep me going for the first couple of days. This helped me to get settled and enjoy the the apartment. The apartment was like a home from home. I felt very relaxed and comfortable. It was spacious, clean and safe. The flat was very well equipped. There was a balcony at the front with a decked area. It was lovely to sit, enjoy a cup of Ceylon tea and listen to the birds. The apartment is an ideal location as it was very central and you could walk to the shops, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants. Ravi and Rohini were very friendly, kind and helpful. They even brought delicious home cooked Sri Lankan food for me on several occasions. I was very sad to leave as I felt I had become part of the family. I would highly recommend this apartment.

The location was fantastic. The apartment was modern and spotless. The view of Colombo city was breathtaking. The apartment looked exactly as the pictures. The front desk staff could be trained better when checking in. There’s no Microwave, kettle, hairdryer nor clothing iron which would have made our stay much more convenient. There were no complimentary water bottles which was a bit disappointing. Overall it was a good stay.

Friendly and Responsive Host! I always received a responsive back quickly whenever I had an inquiry. Check in and check out was extremely easy with clear instructions. Had a great and relaxed time at this wonderful clean apartment. The area is nice and quiet and the Apartment is safe with a gate and 24/7 security. Gym is wonderful with new equipment + very clean building. There are restaurants close by and Uber available :)

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Wohnung war rundum super! Die Lage ist ideal – in nur 2–3 Gehminuten ist man am Strand, und in die andere Richtung gelangt man schnell in die Stadt. Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind alle in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Zug hält direkt vor der Haustür, und mit Uber ist man in weniger als 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Die Wohnung selbst ist ruhig, besonders nachts, was für erholsamen Schlaf sorgt. Der Check-in verlief völlig reibungslos, und die Kommunikation mit Shiffan war jederzeit einfach und angenehm. Ein echtes Highlight war der Balkon – abends dort zu sitzen und aufs Wasser zu blicken, war purer Luxus. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wirklich von Herzen weiterempfehlen – wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Mein Aufenthalt in dieser Studio Flat äußerst sehr gut. Besonders hat man die Möglichkeit, oben im Pool zu schwimmen oder direkt im Meer. Atemberaubender Ausblick zum Meer, auch der Vermieter sehr freundlich und ist für alle Fragen da. Die Wohnung war auch sauber. Vielleicht kann man noch die Teppiche irgendwann waschen. Also Person zu Person ist anders. Im Allgemeinen war die Wohnung sauber. :) Ich empfehle diese Unterkunft definitiv weiter.

Great place to stay at. We felt at hime immediately and after a montj, we left the place and the ground floor staff with heavy heart. We had a bit of problems to start with, but it was all sorted out soon and it was so comfortable.
