Chloe’s place was truly something special. The view couldn’t be better—right on the water! The upstairs features a large opening to the beach that makes you feel like you’re living outdoors. It does get warm during the day, but with the fans and side windows open, you can create a pleasant airflow. The spacious bedroom downstairs was comfortable and includes a cooling system that keeps things cool at night. The mattress could use an update—it’s quite soft and you can feel the springs a bit—but we still slept well. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the utensils you might need if you plan to cook. I would definitely recommend Chloe’s place if you’re looking to enjoy island life away from the main tourist areas, while still being close to attractions and having direct access to the water!

Our stay at Dora’s Cottage was absolutely delightful — peaceful, comfortable, and filled with the warm charm of Barbados. The cottage is nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood, making it the perfect retreat to relax and recharge, while still being conveniently close to beaches, shops, and restaurants. The space was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully prepared with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to soft linens. We especially enjoyed the outdoor area — ideal for morning coffee and unwinding after a day of exploring the island. Corey was a fantastic host — welcoming, responsive, and full of great local recommendations. His hospitality truly made the experience feel personal and memorable. If you’re looking for a serene and authentic stay in Barbados, Dora’s Cottage is a beautiful choice. Our hosts picked us up from the airport and we were immediately charmed by their warmth which made us feel like family. They even took us shopping for any necessities that we might need. Once we arrived at the home, we fell in love with the place. Not only was the décor lovely, but being a bit of a clean freak... I was very happy to find the home so incredibly clean. Amenities were perfect.. with the hosts thinking of just about everything we would need for our stay. The location was perfect for us, since we rented a car. Driving was a bit of a challenge though..at first.. lol. Beds were super comfortable.. and both room had its own washroom.. which was ideal for us. I cannot say enough of how lovely these hosts were to us. Took us back to the airport for our departure and made sure us and all our luggage were checked in safely. Stayed for 10 days and highly recommend this home and hosts. The only note is that you will need a car to get around.. but hosts have recommendations.

The cottage is private, not a shared space, which is great. The fire pit is a great addition to just enjoy a fire and some wine or tea. I would definitely do this again.

My girlfriend and I had an unbelievable time at Quincy and Anthony’s place! It was the most amazing and peaceful trip ever. Anthony was so friendly and so responsive to any questions we had about the area and anything else. I will most likely be staying here every time i come back to barbados. I highly recommend this stay. The nature and wildlife is so beautiful with monkeys and everything. The place has everything you need. Although there is no AC, the breeze from the wind keeps the place super cool at night and during the day so there was really no need at all. We felt as comfortable as it gets!!!

An Absolutely Wonderful Stay! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Violets Residence. wonderful experience from start to finish. The apartment itself was lovely, clean, and incredibly comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the host. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly gracious and easy to talk to, making me feel instantly welcome and at ease. Their excellent service was evident in every interaction; they were always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure I had everything I needed for a perfect visit. A particular highlight was the taxi service they arranged for me, from the airport to the residence and back again. This was not only incredibly convenient but also very reasonably priced.

Lovely peaceful and beautiful location in the countryside, with some lovely local walks down the coast. I would highly recommend going to Andromeda botanical gardens in Bathsheba, the restaurant attached to it served the most amazing food worth visiting just for that. The bus is about 35 - 45 mins into Bridgetown, the bus stop is about 15 min walk away. If you can rent a car it would make your life a lot more convenient and you can see more places. Great place to stay :)
