Church Cottage Clearwell | Sleeps 5 | Dog Friendly

KeithRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I cannot compare Church Cottage with other Airbnb properties because this was my first experience with Airbnb. But I can say that our experience would encourage us to use it again, the cottage was immaculate, exactly as described, and we loved it. The kitchen was well equipped, beds exceptionally comfortable, and the downstairs dining/lounge area was full of character and cosy. There are some great eating places nearby, all recommended by Emma, but especially the Butchers Arms in both quality and service, and in lovely surroundings. Emma's emails prior to our visit were helpful and reassuring for our first venture into Forest of Dean. I would have no hesitation to recommend.

Forest Views, Trails & Tranquillity

SueRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sarah’s Airbnb was a wonderful ‘home from home’ and lovely sanctuary to come back to after beautiful walks in the stunning Forest of Dean. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the local White Horse Inn, which was an easy walk from the Airbnb. Sarah was a very friendly and responsive host. Thank you for such a special stay, we will definitely be back some time!

The Field Snug

Vincent And JenniferRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a lovely stay, we were not in the area for a holiday so did not explore as much as would have liked. The property is cosy and not overlooked. Small garden for the dogs all secure. Amenities were fab. Claire and hubby very helpful and lovely. One downside is no vegan options at local restaurants, just a note for possible vegan travellers.

Highlands Cottage | cider orchard | Wye Valley

Andrew RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely phenomenal from start to end. The host allowed us early check in, once we arrived there was a lovely welcome gift. Place was lovely and clean, everything you need for a short stay. The host was wonderful, checking in to make sure everything was ok and also allowed a late check out. Would highly recommend, 5* all the way!

Forest based 1-bedroom barn.

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Katie’s place is cosy, clean, private and in a great location - within very short walking distance to the edge of the Forest of Dean but also within easy driving distance to other major road routes. She was a welcoming and responsive host and The Barn easy to find as per the map pin instructions. I loved the ingenious design of the hob/fridge/sink inside the cupboard, it makes use of the space really well. If you only need to be able to prepare breakfasts and simple meals, it’s ideal. Overall The Barn represents good value for 1-2 people visiting what is a beautiful part of the country.

We truly had an amazing stay and Ella's home is beyond stunning, thanks for making it so homely. Their recommendations were spot on too, we went to the Woolpack and the Painswick Hotel, both lovely places. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family and we hope to come back one day!

Chapel - Wye Valley/Forest of Dean (2B)

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our weekend at The Chapel in the Wye Valley was nothing short of legendary. The place itself had the perfect ambiance for storytelling and adventure - exposed wooden beams, rustic charm, and a front door straight out of a fantasy novel with cast iron railings. Every corner of this old-world building felt like it belonged in a campaign setting. The layout worked beautifully for our group, with the combined kitchen and living room making gathering easy. The sloping ceilings and wooden flooring added to the immersive atmosphere, enhancing the feeling of stepping into another world. John and Valerie were wonderful hosts, always kind and welcoming. Their presence downstairs meant they were nearby if needed, though we did feel a tiny bit guilty about our frequent outbursts of laughter echoing through the building - but hey, good adventures demand good laughs. And what an adventure it was. The Stormcaller’s Crown will go down as one of the most memorable D&D campaigns we’ve ever played.
