“Wow! Tessa and Remko have created a beautiful piece of paradise for their friends and family. We feel so lucky and appreciative that they have opened up part of their home for Airbnb guests. They responded very quickly to communication and the woodwork details (courtesy of Remko) add a special charm that is not-to-be-missed. The drive up was steep and unpaved, but it was well worth the adventure. Even in the rain, we had a great time. Thank you.”
Rivers Edge cottage is situated by the pristine Motueka river , well known for its trout , canoeing and swimming
“Magical spot! The house is old and quirky. Only one bathroom so do not come here if you like modern luxury, but if you just want a clean and comfortable bed in wonderful surroundings then you will love it. Ross was very friendly and helpful. He is a talented person, there are many of his wood carvings scattered around. The weather was kind to us. The River is lovely for a dip. We only stayed for one night but would have loved it to be longer.”

“Oh, where to begin?! This was such a lovely experience! Outstanding hospitality in beautiful surroundings. The space is both rustic and modern at the same time. And meticulously clean. Beautiful bedroom, bathroom, and loft area. We absolutely loved the farm animals (goats, sheep, peacocks, and chickens), but Poppy, Gizmo, and Cruise (the three small dogs), stole our hearts!! And then there’s the view and the stars! The food was fantastic, and Jan goes all out to ensure that everything is as you want it to be! If a pampered stay in a peaceful, rural setting is up your alley, this is for you! It’s also an easy, picturesque drive to Abel Tasman National Park for fantastic hiking. Thank you, Jan and Daman. It was such a pleasure to meet you both!”
