Villa Igashima is located in a mountainous area surrounded by cedar and bamboo forests. The Igarashi area of Aga-cho, in particular, is known as one of the heaviest snowfall areas in the Shimokita region, and this is a traditional old house that has endured in that environment for a long time. Taking advantage of the beams, pillars, and fittings of such historic buildings, we recreated a new form of Japanese landscape in harmony with modern design, while giving the feeling of an old-fashioned Japanese house. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

There are a lot of amazing restaurants, spas, souvenir shops, all in walking distance. “KOMINKA” has living room, dining room, kitchen, bath, and two toilets on 1st floor, and 3 Japanese style bed rooms on 2nd floor. *You can always take a free bus ride to all the ski areas from Echigoyuzawa station.
