Naruko Onsenkyo is a very rare hot spring with 9 of the 11 water qualities found in Japan. It has been used as a hot spring resort since ancient times and is loved by people for its benefits in recovering from illness, injury, and fatigue. The spring water is smooth, slightly alkaline, and has a faint sulfur scent.(Calcium-sodium-nitrate spring, hypotonic alkaline high-temperature spring) Indications include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, peripheral circulation disorders (cold sensitivity), dry skin, and various stress-related symptoms. "Yasememi is located in a quiet vacation area, and it is crowded with tourists during the spring cherry blossoms, the early summer greenery, and the Naruko Gorge autumn leaves.Onigami Ski Resort is nearby. Many people who have experienced the benefits of the hot spring return as repeat visitors, and we received numerous requests to stay overnight, so we opened in 2023.

Located in the center of Yamagata City, the entire-house rental inn Jihei can accommodate up to 10 people. The first floor features a spacious living and dining area, and you can enjoy cooking in the roomy kitchen. On the second floor, there are two 6-tatami mat Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats that smell of rush grass, and two Western-style rooms. You can use the entire house freely, just like you would at home. There is a parking lot on the property where you can park two cars. It can accommodate up to 10 people. As a base for sightseeing in Yamagata, it is recommended for long-term stays with friends or family without having to worry about disturbing anyone. The downtown area and the bar district are also within a 5-6 minute walk. You can enjoy walking to the city's tourist attractions (Bunshokan, Kasumigajo Park, Mogami Yoshiaki Memorial Hall, and Momiji Park). From the property, you can drive🚗 to Zao Onsen♨️ in 25-30 minutes, to Risshakuji Temple in Yamadera in 20-30 minutes, and to Ginzan Onsen♨️ in 70 minutes. You can get to Sendai in 60 minutes by train or bus. The venue for the Yamagata Hanagasa Festival, one of the four major festivals in the Tohoku region, is a 1-minute walk away. The host is Yoshiro, the 24th generation head of the Urushiyama family, who was born and raised in this house. The host's ancestors were samurai who lived in the same era as Tokugawa Ieyasu and moved to this area 430 years ago.Vivid episodes from that time are passed down. Dai, a Siberian Husky, is a very friendly dog and the mascot of our inn.His job is to greet and see off guests.Sometimes I go for a walk with guests.
