A gem of a cultural guest in the heart of the city

This special home is centrally located, making it easier to plan a visit. All you have to do is cross the guard and you're at the downtown services. You'll walk to the market in a few minutes. There are several eateries nearby, so there's a choice. The travel center is a short walk away and a taxi stand along the market. There is an additional free parking spot for your car. Kaisla Farm is located on land, 22km north of Mikkeli. We live in the main building of the space and there is a 65m2 separate apartment in the yard. The farm has animals and is surrounded by thousands of lakes in eastern Finland, as well as natural rich forest areas. The nearby lake offers recreational opportunities, angling, swimming, boating, etc. The forests have the same, berry, mushroom, and just enjoy the tranquility and quiet. In winter, you can snowshoe and ski and skate if conditions allow.

Welcome to stay in a small cute room with a extendable sofa bed and a tiny kitchen. The cottage is in a separate building in the yard with its own entrance. In addition, there is a small barn that can sleep 2 people. We have 6 huskies that run free in a fenced area are really kind, so there's no need to be afraid. If necessary, the sauna can also be heated for an additional fee, a tent sauna in the yard for 10€/time, and the heating of the big sauna takes half a day and costs 40€/time.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Lauri’s lakeside cottage in Finland was everything we hoped for and more. The location is truly stunning – nestled in nature right by a peaceful lake, it felt like a private slice of paradise. The setting is incredibly quiet and serene, perfect for unwinding, swimming, or just listening to the sounds of nature. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it feel both comfortable and authentic. We especially loved the sauna and the view from the dock – just breathtaking at sunset. Lauri was an exceptional host. Communication was clear, friendly, and responsive from the start, and all instructions for check-in and using the facilities were straightforward and easy to follow. He was also incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. This was one of the most relaxing and memorable stays we’ve had. Highly recommended. Thanks, Lauri!

A lovely little cottage for two, with all the necessary settings. A beautiful, peaceful place by the lake. We spent three nights at the cottage relaxing, bathing in the gentle sauna, swimming in the lake and grilling in the summer kitchen. Communication with Minna was straightforward and the answer was always quick. We definitely want to come back here. Warm recommendation!
