Sink into the soft bed after seeing our local sites Bailey Yard, Buffalo Bill's Ranch, or the Canteen district downtown. Don't forget the large front porch for that morning cup of coffee. Or relax on the back patio by the fire.

Little House on the Prairie

The Little House on the Prairie is nestled in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. We are a mere ten minutes from the Calamus River and Calamus Lake (west end) which offers tanking, tubing, boating, and beaching. Bootleg Brewers is our neighbor to the south, only a 20 minute drive. This is a birders paradise! Bald eagles, prairie chickens, and a plethora of other species to observe will be waiting out your window. Star-gazers will find our night skies free of light pollution. Nature awaits!

The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

The River House

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Cedar Creek Cabin

Outdoor enthusiasts, friends, and families, we invite you to enjoy your next Sandhills trip with a stay at the Cedar Creek Cabin. Our two bedroom, one bath, cabin sleeps eight. Located on a large lot to accommodate outdoor activities, including a fire pit. The park, Nebraska's Big Rodeo, and the town square (where there several dining options) are all within walking distance. The area's main attraction Calamus Reservoir is a short 7 mile drive, offering fun for the entire family.

This home is recently renovated and very well equipped. The home is situated in the middle of the Sandhills of Nebraska. River fun, national forest and hunting opportunities. Welcome to this lovely home, which retains elements of it's nearly 100-year-old history. It is located in a quiet residential area with a comfy living room where you can relax after long hours of driving. High-speed Internet is equipped for everyone to utilize. And a washing machine and a dryer are provided in the basement. Additional pillows and blankets are provided as well. It's very close to downtown, only takes about 3-5 minutes to restaurants, banks and shopping centers.

Sandhills Retreat

Sandhills get-away right off the main highway and extremely close to town. Halsey National Forest is just a few minutes away and many great Refuge lakes are in the area between Thedford and Valentine. Beautiful views of the sandhills and Middle Loup river going thru the property, with a small catch & release fishing pond on property. This Entire Cozy Two bedroom house (1 queen size beds in both bedrooms) all yours to relax with your family. Our home comes with everything you need, including a fully stocked kitchen, WI FI, Keurig coffee maker, and Laundry room. Our home is within walking distance to local diner, Bar, grocery store, and Park. While visiting Loup City, you can take an evening 5 to Sherman Reservoir just 7 miles away. The living room is equipped with a futon.
