Holiday rentals with a fireplace in North Shields

Immaculate property. Lovely big kitchen/ dining / living area, with an additional living room- well equipped with beautiful old books and lots of games. Gorgeous garden, very private, and amazing views. Extremely comfortable beds and lovely linen and towels. Very clean and tidy. Everything we wanted and more. We were a group of 8 ladies on a walking / yoga weekend- and we loved everything. We can’t wait to return.

Ellen was a fantastic host. Made me and my children feel really welcome. The house was large & very clean, ellen was on hand to help if needed. Would highly recommend & will be sure to stay again next time im up. Thank you very much Ellen. From jamie and the kids

It is a really nice place to stay, lovely private garden and watching the birds on the bird feeder was amazing, I counted over 10 different species! The beds & pillows were excellent and my daughter & I slept really well. Excellent Airbnb

Great stay for a family wedding at Tyne Bank Brewery. Lottie was very communicative and flexible with arrival and departure times which was appreciated when flight times were changed.

The house was fabulous, so homely with luxurious touches, bedding, furniture to name just a few. Well equiped with dishwasher etc. Parking directly outside with permits supplied. Wendy responded quickly and checked all was well with us. A wonderful stay.

The purpose of our two-night visit was to spend a day at the Beamish open-air museum, and it was well worth the long journeys (two from Bristol, one from Brighton). Melanie was very kind in allowing us to postpone the date of the visit because I had a heart attack just before the original date. The house was fine, just as expected and described, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Only three very minor improvements I can think of: the kitchen knives are blunt and we couldn't find a sharpener in the drawer; we couldn't find the green box for recycling glass; there were several plug-in 'air fresheners', but we soon found them and switched them off, and the smell quickly faded. A very happy weekend all round, many thanks.

A very comfortable apartment in a brilliant setting, ideal for a week away. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Loads of walks nearby, Cragside a couple of miles away. Andy and Lyd were friendly and helpful and the provision of bird seed to feed our feathered visitors was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay with our 2 young kids 😊 they loved the pirate themed bedroom and slept so well on the bunkbeds. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away and was so quiet and clean. There's a lovely cafe on the beach too that does great food. Our kids were quite happy just going to the beach I'm Newbiggin each day but it's also well located to get to Tynemouth, Druridge bay, Alnwick etc. We loved it

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The place is beautifully decorated with so much character—stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The setting was perfect too—peaceful, charming, and a great base for exploring the area. What really made the experience stand out were the hosts. Super friendly and welcoming, with incredible local knowledge that totally upgraded my trip. From hidden gems to the best spots to eat and explore, their tips made all the difference. Can’t recommend this place enough—already looking forward to coming back!

Gorgeous, stylish and comfortable flat in a great location for exploring the city. Everything has been thought about: the interior design, the kitchen equipment, the parking permits and the coffee pods, and everything was comfortable and stress free. Spotlessly clean, impeccable comms and a really friendly welcome. There is some road noise, so if you're not normally a city dweller, you could be disturbed. Wasn't a problem for us - highly recommend.

Linda's apartment was just perfect for our stay. Absolutely spotless, everything you could possibly want was available. Great location, 5 minute walk to the Metro then just 3 stops into the city centre or a little bit longer to the coast. Linda was lovely, very welcoming with great communication. Absolutely 5*. We loved staying in this property in Rothbury. Lots to do and see nearby and we loved visiting Cragside. The property was exactly as described and Andrew was very helpful with any queries we had. We would definitely visit again and recommend.
